OCEANA COUNTY, MI – A man wearing a dinosaur mask allegedly proclaimed he was the “alpha and the omega” before he ran into the woods and later tried to break into a home.
According to an official DNR report, Cpl. Troy VanGelderen was on patrol in Oceana County in late-January when he heard a Michigan State Police trooper call about a subject lying next to his vehicle along US-31.
When the trooper approached the subject, the subject jumped up and ran into the woods yelling that he was the alpha and the omega while wearing a dinosaur mask, according to the report.
Suspicious, Cpl. VanGelderen went to a neighborhood paralleling the highway. A short time later, a call came into the local dispatch that there was a subject wearing a mask who had walked into a house.
Cpl. VanGelderen and an Oceana County Sheriff deputy later found the suspect trying to enter another home. The suspect was taken into custody and lodged at the Oceana County Jail.
