He's got a point though. I'm sure he doesn't really need to work or get this movie done, but there are thousands of others in the chain of production that probably could use the money and the work. Those folks on set knew what the rules were before they started production and if they can't abide them they probably should be gone. They also should not qualify for the 'extra' fed unemployment benefits due to Covid either.

Wish I had known what a hot head he was before I watched his movies. He didn't have to "act" like that. I guess this is the real Tom Cruise.
