Wasps

Has anyone noticed that the wasps are unusually abundant this year? And they're really aggressive too.

My wife's wasp trap is doing an admiral job of catching the bastards.

Enjoy your beer, assholes

All this and I thought it was going to be a socialist sound off on WASPs: White Affluent Suburban People.

This thing is very effective. Every day I change the liquid and pour out about 100 dead wasps. I don't have any more Moose Head, so I've started using apple juice. Works just as well.

Now, I'm able to enjoy our patio without swarms of wasps around me.

Somehow, I get the impression that these are metaphorical wasps he is referring to, even with the picture. We should have started fighting back 50 years ago when they started calling people WASPS. When you think about it, it's just as offensive as calling someone a JAP (Jewish American Princess), a Sp**, a "WOP", an N word, a "Jap", a "Kraut" or a "Ch***, a "Mick", a "Slimy Limey", or even a "Canuck".

I don't even know what a metaphorical wasp is. I'm referring to the pesky insects that make life miserable around this time every year.

So, she decided today, it was time to put it away for the season. Brought it in to wash it in the laundry sink. When she opened it up, turns out one of the wasps was still alive. Stung her right on her finger. She says it's really sore.

I wanted to go to the drug store for some anti histamine, but she said no.

Next year, get a trap. It's super effective and environmentally friendly.

Just (cheap) beer, or juice, or are there other ingredients?

Is there a secret to the Saran Wrap config?

Are other species, such as honey bees, that end up as collateral damage?

There is a glass stopper in the top. My wife was worried that they might escape around it. So she wrapped it with saran. I told her I didn't believe that was necessary.

The only other species I've seen in it are common flies and, once in a while, a moth.

She put it away too soon. I was sitting on the patio today, enjoying a bee and wasp went down the back of my shirt and stung me on my back. >: >:

Did you give her a stinging rebuke?
