Trip advice needed
Trip advice needed
I was daydreaming today about taking a trip on a road I've never seen, the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you've done it, what advice would you give us? Time of year? Good eats and drinks, though I guess you need to leave the parkway for that? Things to see? Places to stay? (We're not campers.) Easy hikes? (We're both old and gimpy and not trying to prove anything.) Tips and miscellaneous suggestions?

Re: Trip advice needed
Late September was great the time I drove it. Started in Front Royal, VA on the Shenandoah Park road and it turns into the Blue Ridge Parkway. The speed limit was like 45-50 and nice places to stop and enjoy the view. Along the way roads break off to get to cities and towns along the way. Like I said it was the end of Sept. but we had to get off after Ashville, NC due to snow.
