Man fighting for his life after accidentally shooting himself

WACO, TX — A 63-year-old man is in the hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the stomach.

Waco Police responded to the 3100 block of Homan Ave around 1 AM on Sunday and say a man accidentally discharged his weapon, shooting himself in the stomach.

He was transported to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest. The status of his condition is currently unknown.

According to officers, the weapon was a shot gun and the accident happened in his camper.
