Seriously....you got SAE and metric, and then about a dozen different sizes. This one is just a little too small. That one is a skosh too big. This one works, but it might be a metric and the screw is SAE, so I might strip it. 

It's a fucked up system! You know right off the bat if it's Phillips or flat blade. Easy to tell a #2 from a #3. Allen should rot in hell.

Buy the way fix your own car. Hacks at many autorepair shops are nothing but parts swappers. Replace your battery and starter (after you told them that is not likely the problem) but before turning the crankshaft by hand? Oh now you need an alternator, it's ceased.
