Another late April snowstorm?

I don't know where all got it last year, but on April 20th, 2019, northern Michigan (lower peninsula) got slammed with a major snowstorm. Driving home from Alpena, my Blazer literally got stuck halfway up the first steep hill - I had to put it in reverse and go back down the hill and get turned around and go back to Alpena.

Here's the GFS computer model run prediction as of this evening for snowfall totals over the next 10 days. I highly doubt anything close to this actually happens, but if it does.....just adding to the cooped-up-indoors-insanity.

April 20, 2019 we were still in FL. But my sister, who lives on the Ontario side of Lake Huron sent me some pics of pretty deep snow.

Is that really indicating over 2 FEET (!) in some spots?

I am looking at GFS Snowfall on Pivotal for 288 and I am not seeing the same predictions. Could you provide some insight on the source?

Go back one run to the 18z run. I use TropicalTidbits as my source, though your source shows the same info for that particular run.

I've generally found computer model runs to be very unreliable beyond 8 days, but even the idea of that kind of snowfall is something I don't wanna think about. Hoping it ends up being warm enough for just rain when the time comes.

I don’t know about snow, but I guarantee there will be large cloud formations on 4/20. My meterlogoligist says they will be quite heavy and thick. :hat

Yesterday's run bumped some of the snow totals up to 33 inches

If we get so much as 3 inches, I'm gonna be bloody pissed.

Why can't we seem to get a seasonally warm April here in Michigan? It seems like over the past 10 years or so, most Aprils have been WELL below average in terms of temperature.

I was heartened by today’s 70... I also see rain and 47 next week...

London ON. It's snowing here right now. It isn't staying on the ground, but the flakes are falling.

Well the UP is getting up to 26" tomorrow, looks like Traverse City is dodging a bullet.

Is this your predicted storm?
