Food Pictures Redux

Post by Bryce » Wed Feb 12, 2020 12:30 pm

Costco had lamb chops on sale for 6.99 a pound. Cold or not, I had to fire up the grill. I invested in a new infrared grill this past summer and am so happy I did. I can get the surface temperature up to 750 degrees on the thing which is perfect for lamb chops.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

I'm sure they're good, but I've never tried lamb chops.

I used to boil the meat off lamb bones and make a stew. It was great.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

Do indeed try them grilled some day. Given a choice between a good steak or good lamb chops, I'd pick lamb chops every time. However, seasoning is much more important with lamb chops.

...and be sure to spring for the loin chops as Bryce did above. :blink Damn, those look good! :razz

I LOVE pickled herring. Really dig it along with some Winschullers.

I have all kinds of snacky things I'm trying to finish up, in case we have to leave here in a hurry.

Red Skins. My favourite peanuts. But it's hard to find them anymore. Not many places sell them. It might be because of the racial overtones in the name. Maybe, if they would give them a more politically correct name, stores wouldn't be afraid to have them on their shelves.

Aboriginal Peanuts. First Nations Peanuts.

That pickled herring pic was from Florida, less than two months ago. Seems like another lifetime now.
