What colour will your Christmas be?

London, in south-west Ontario will be green. We got about an inch of snow, a few nights ago, but it's mostly gone now. Temps are forecast to be above freezing for the next seven days.

How about wherever you live?

Green, well brown actually. Forecast in the 40s last time I checked. Much better than snow.

I remember that Christmas. The entire winter was like that. Long periods of warm weather, interrupted by short spells of cold weather. It was the first time I ever heard the term "EL Nino."

Green. We hit 53 yesterday with sunshine. Took the dog out for a walk and enjoyed the "temporary spring".

Back in November we were warned about a coming storm, so I rushed out and bought a new snowblower. My old one was no good anymore. The storm turned out to be not as bad as predicted but I had to try out the new machine anyway, That was the only time I've used it. Had I just waited a few days, the snow would have melted away on its own.

Looks like the last time I'll use it this season. We're leaving for Florida on Jan 3. The long range forecast shows the weather remaining warm until, at least, the second week of Jan.

I loved the sunny skies and high temps around 50 on Christmas Day and I certainly loved the temps in the upper 50's yesterday (albeit windier with less sun than Christmas Day). Detroit Metro reached a new record high temp for the date.

At my house, it never dipped below 53 degrees last night! I even have an ornamental tree in the backyard that began sprouting flower buds last night. :eek

Cold front will blow through this morning, which will knock temps down by a good 10 degrees from where they sit now.

Sunday could be an interesting day. Would not shock me to see some garden variety t-storm activity in far southern lower MIchigan.
