OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led to a shooting in the Crestview area Monday morning.
Just after 9:30 a.m., officials received a call about a “neighbor problem”. Bobby Sullivan, 87, told the sheriff's office that his 37-year-old neighbor threatened him with a stick.
Five minutes later, deputies received a second call from Sullivan, who told them a shooting had taken place near his property on Golden Acres Circle.
Deputies arrived and treated 37-year-old Jarrod Glenny on the scene until EMS arrived to administer aid. Glenny was airlifted to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, where he’s currently in critical condition.
Sullivan says Glenny attacked him with a stick, hitting him several times before he fired his weapon, the sheriff’s office said.
Crestview is 19 miles from Niceville
