Politically Correct Halloween

Post by Turkeytop » Wed Oct 30, 2019 8:49 pm

This will be the first time in a few years we've been home for Halloween, so we have to get ready for the kids. But it seems there are new rules we have to learn.

We saw on TV there is now a colour code for the Halloween Buckets the kids carry with them. Blue for kids with autism. Yellow for kids with food allergies. Purple for trans gendered. Why does gender matter? They can dress as whatever they want.

When we were kids we used a brown paper bag. So, what comes next. Green for vegan? White for left handed? Checkered for dyslexic?

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

This is what happens when you let far left loons run the asylum known as local government.

This has nothing to do with local government. It isn't a law. It's just some silly idea being promulgated by, possibly, well meaning people. It's political correctness run amok.

We don't "let" anyone run our local governments, We elect them.

Bit of a disappointment. We prepared for 60 but only 10 came.

Maybe it's because we aren't politically correct. We aren't a same sex couple. My wife and I both dress according to our assigned genders. That's gotta be scary for the kids.

We had 52 wee one's ring our bell last night. Kind of surprising with the rain and sleet that was going on. It was up nine from last year.

Used to be that Halloween brought scary costumes. These days scary has been replaced with movie, TV and internet meme characters.

Ever notice there are no candy bars with pecans?
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

I had a wonderful Halloween full of political incorrectness!

Several kids in my neighborhood were black face, others were Indians, Geishas, Gypsies, and albinos!

Me? I dressed as my favorite thing in the whole world! A perfectly shaved POONTANG!!!
I want to go to your house next year dressed as a Cop!!!

It was snowing in our neck of the woods. Light flurries, but temps in the lower 30's. Our numbers were way down this year. My youngest and his friend were out for about 20 minutes before they called it quits. Most of the kids we saw were being driven around. I sat on the porch in my winter coat and wool cap with War of the Worlds playing on the Bluetooth speaker. Nothing beats the classics!
