Alabama woman uses hot grease to fend off intruder
Police say an Alabama man picked the wrong house to burglarize.
Larondrick Macklin is accused of breaking into a home Aug. 1 in Decatur, about 25 miles southwest of Huntsville, according to TV station WBTV.
A woman who lived in the home used a pot of hot grease to defend herself, causing extensive burns to Macklin’s face.
Police told WBTV that Macklin was armed with a gun when he was arrested.
After getting medical treatment, he was booked into jail where his bond was set at $300,000.

HERE YOU GO THE BAD GUY HAD A GUN AND THE GOOD WOMAN DID NOT. A GUN WOULD HAVE BEEN SAFER FOR HER . . Keeping a hot pan grease would tend to burn down a lot of homes.

Maybe they could implement a 72 hour waiting period on all Crisco purchases?

And put a limit on magazine size. At least on the cooking magazines with recipes calling for grease.

Before we go too far because of this one of incident, it would be prudent to remember that family and friends of
Larondrick Macklin said he was always the squeaky wheel.

Grease doesn't burn people, housewives do.
