Turned on the radio Monday morning to get the news. Catch up on the important stories of the day.
Here were the first three important items to which they alerted me..
1 - Royal Baby
2 - The movie, box office statistics from the weekend
3 - Something about Game of Thrones (Whatever that is.)

It was worse on TV, a local station promoting a national package that it did not produce, about a topic that nobody cares about.
Because there is no such thing as "local news"

I have never understood the obsession some have with the royal family. Perhaps it is just like some some people’s obsession with celebrities in general.
I thought we fought a war to get away from that. What is the general Canadian’s thoughts about it, since they still have some ties?

Queen Elizabeth is also the Queen of Canada.. so I assume they will be all over the story?

WRONG.
I change my radio whenever there is any celebrity gossip, including the Royal Family.

I'm back home now but I do the same thing whether I'm in Florida or here.
