That’s what I’m saying. It’s not like you’re going to walk in there, be confronted with a threat, go “oh right! I have a gun, I should use it!” And then unholster it and go to work. The sign is a backhanded way of saying if you have a gun we’ll hold onto it until you leave.
As for the other comment (not from TT) that I’m being a tool… I’m reading a sign and interpreting it literally. That’s not being a tool, that’s going by what it says.

Ok then in the event of self defense (an emergency PLAN just like using a fire extinguisher) you go ahead and explain to me how the sign still allows you to unholster your weapon.

Can't happen. The bad guy won't be allowed to unholster his either.

Yes. And that happened on Christmas evening, about 6 years ago. They were just about the only place open on Christmas. I left there, and found a 24 hours Wendys open at a truck stop on I-75 at the 151.

I'm sure it's a great service for their middle class clients. But, as it isn't available to the working class, I can't really offer an opinion.
But I seem to be managing OK without it.
