Anyone Remember The Stations That Carried The Indy 500 In The 1960s?

Does anyone remember the station in your town that carried the Indianapolis 500 in the 1960s?

I remember that WAMM 1420 carried it in Flint. I suspect that because WMAX 1480 was coowned by Mid States/PANAX at the time, they may have been the one in Grand Rapids. It seems like it was on Daytimers at the time. I was never sure why.

I don't recall WMAX ever running the 500. I remember WOOD being the station that had the 500 in the Grand Rapids market

According to the Detroit Free Press archives on Newspapers.com, here was the coverage in Detroit in 1966:

INDIANAPOLIS 500 RACE Closed circuit TV at the Palms, Carmen, Dearborn, Great Lakes, Woods and Royal theaters at 10:30 a.m.; Radio stations WBRB (1430 am, 102.7 fm), WTAK (1090 am), 10:15 a.m.

The erstwhile WBRB-AM in Mt. Clemens. I remember listening on my 6-transister in Highland Park.

(edit)
I see Bobbert above mentioned it.
