interesting article, thanks for the link
Re: Crawford WMUZ AM Antenna Array
YES, That large array is quite an antenna for 1200 WMUZ ! I have checked it out on Google Earth and driven to the area to eyeball it.
The company that I worked for, in Chicago, also acquired 1200 kHz as a NEW frequency for that area and built a large array on the far south side , beaming up through the whole city with 10 kW. That happened some years after I left so I never got to see the new facilities.
Wasn't there another Kernan (Dick ?) involved in the transition from WXYZ FM (music machine, literally) to live WRIF, I think he developed the progrmming changes. It's Hard to believe how long ago that was!

Re: Crawford WMUZ AM Antenna Array
You are correct. Dick Kernen, a giant of Michigan broadcasting who boosted the careers of countless familiar on-air voices and faces, died in December 2020. He was 82..

Re: Crawford WMUZ AM Antenna Array
AM 1200 might have more antennae than AQH listeners!
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.
