FM vs. AM demonstration from 1940. The arc is from a one million volt static generator.
Though I am still a proponent of AM Radio as much as anyone, I can't believe that RCA prevented FM from taking off for so long, if they showed them this demonstration.
The console radio has both AM BC and FM BC, probably the 42-50 MHz old FM BC Band.
Is THAT where they got the idea for the 486-SX?
