Re: Visit America's Last Morse-Code Station
I'm not very proficient at copying Morse Code. I sometimes DX the LW beacons. It can be rewarding. They always ID. That's all they do, in slow Morse Code.

Visit America's Last Morse-Code Station
It's the only one left in North America, and where Morse-Code once ruled the seas, this station is now the realm of hobbyists known as the "Radio Squirrels." It's located near San Francisco.

Re: Seen On A Sign
Saw this today on the back of a pickup truck. It wasn't exactly a bumper sticker. It covered the entire tailgate. "Real Christians Obey the Speed Limit." It then listed by chapter and verse several passages from the Bible to illustrate the point. Were there speed limits back in those times? Did they...

The Mulroney Years
How we, on the left, despised Mulroney. Now, in hindsight, we can look back on those years as the good old days. In comparison to the Conservatives and Liberals of today, Mulroney was a progressive. There are some Canadian politicians whose death would be welcome news to me. But Mulroney wasn’t one ...

Re: Question for Turkey Top
Normal progression period is 6 - 12 months. On a higher skilled job it could be up to two years. By that time the new guy should be performing as well as the 30 year guy. If he isn't, the Company should have got rid of him during his probationary period.

Re: Question for Turkey Top
That’s exactly what it is. That would be different than having a pay scale that rewards longevity and seniority though and I assume your union is all in on it taking years to get from starting wage to top pay? No, we aren't all in for that. I recall one instance where we reluctantly accepted a five...

Re: Question for Turkey Top
What you're referring to sounds like a classic two-tier wage structure. Everyone hired after a certain date works at a lower pay scale and never has an opportunity to progress to the higher rate. That stuff is toxic and my Union refuses to even consider it. Employers don't even try it with us anymor...

They're also saying that Trump's arrests endeared him to the black population. His mug shot gives him street cred.
