Re: Paul Pelosi Brutally Attacked
This thread is indicative of how much the Republican Party has fallen. Downplay the truth as fake or “no big deal” and laugh lines. It’s disgusting, and you all should be ashamed of yourselves. I agree that a couple of the posts near the beginning of this thread are pretty pathetic. The guy needed ...

Re: WLDR-FM
Thanks. Did not realize there was that much non-classical product on the two stations, especially WCMU.

Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?
That studio is nowhere close to being finished, so a February launch would not surprise me. They sure are paying a lot of people to do relatively little work, if indeed no newscasts will be added until February. An earlier launch with anchors standing in front of a chroma key wall would look stupid ...

Producer Joe fired from WGRD and FBHW show?
The Free Beer and Hot Wings reddit page says he's gone for good. New domestic abuse allegations have come to light. His name has also been removed from the Compass Media Networks web page for the show.

And indeed, WIAA has a translator there at 94.7 FM.

Re: WLDR-FM
I wonder if Interlochen would ever consider moving the IPR News format to the massive 88.7 signal ?
A lot of WIAA's coverage area overlaps with WBLV and WCMU-FM, both of which primarily play classical music.

Re: WINS 92.3 is here
Fans of alternative rock on FM radio can thank Mike Kaplan for ruining the chance of it ever reappearing in the Big Apple. He did just a miserable job of programming WNYL - and produced such terrible ratings - that probably any other major owner will be completely deterred from trying the format for...

Re: New digital converter
All I can recommend is try collapsing or partially collapsing the rabbit ears and also try rotating them. If your TV set is able to be moved closer to a window, especially one that faces west or south, that may help, too. 40 miles in the digital era unfortunately is a long trek for VHF reception usi...

Re: WRIF's audio sounds like shit again
There were brief periods this past summer where WRIF's audio sounded really good, then days later, it would start sounding like crud again.
There's something in the "stack" that makes it sound so piss poor.

Re: WLLZ
Doug Podell just called "Fire Woman" by the Cult a "deep cut". I shit you not.
I think the Doc of Rock needs his doctor's license revoked!
It's a very good song, but it sure as hell isn't a deep cut.

Re: WLDR-FM
Would a power bill for a high wattage transmitter be justifiable (not to mention the cost to purchase 101.9 and the cost to replace its transmitter)? IPR already has 3 FM signals carrying its news/talk format. There aren't exactly a lot of high brow types residing in Wexford, Osceola and Missaukee C...

Re: Whitmer/Dixon debate 2
It's important to remember some absentee ballots have already been cast, which makes it more difficult for the challenger (in this case, Dixon) to close the gap via any late surge in favorability. I will say Dixon's thinly veiled attempt to link tax incentives for the proposed Big Rapids battery pla...

Re: 105.5 WQQO Toledo
I agree with you, WOHO.
I've had the opportunity to hear a few FM stations broadcast in both mono and in stereo (at different times, obviously) and have noticed very little difference in areal coverage in the car.
Examples include 96.1 WMAX-FM, 107.3 WBBL-FM / WNTR, and 106.9 WOOD-FM.
