Re: Toledo Radio Ratings August 2023

damn, remember when XKR beat IOT a few years ago? Now IOT's ratings almost double theirs.

Looks like Potty 103.3 doesn't subscribe either.

Re: PARTY 103.3 Over/Under

I'm not sure about the rest of the day but in mornings Andrew's terrible female sidekick named Renee does them, or rather butchers them. Just another attempt at being "local" that winds up sounding like pure amateur hour

Re: PARTY 103.3 Over/Under

just probably somebody else leaving the station because Andrew didn't pay them.

And yeah, he could go to podcast. Like them or not, and I don't, Andrew and Demitrius do have their loyal audience. But he'd probably charge for it and it would wind up another failed venture.

Re: LMAO @ Bell Media's shitty FM stations

88.7 used to come in strong in the Toledo area and even down as far as Bowling Green Ohio, now it's scratchy just south of Monroe. It seems CIMX has been running at reduced power for sometime now or looks like it anyway. Been that way since right around when they flipped formats. 89X used to blast ...

Re: Football on Q105?

are the Browns still being simulcast on XKR and the Ticket this year? still makes little sense to me how the Lions got kicked off the Ticket to make room for the Browns when they could have just run one team on 100.7 and the other on 94.5 but 1) it's Cumulus so the cheapest solution is the best solu...

Re: Relevant Radio expanding into Dayton-Cincinnati

That's a long time ago now, though. WIOT was still decent for a few years later when Grizzly was still there and playing metal at midnight. But then the bean counters, Andy Stuart, Brian Wilson, Andrew Z, etc. ruined both clusters and now Toledo radio makes North Korean state media look listenable.

Re: Q105 rebrands to a 90's and 2000's format

it's possible they do that when this format tweak also fails to move the needle. Of course no one listens to the Ticket either except for Buckeyes and to a lesser extent Browns games anymore, but being an ESPN Radio clearinghouse damn near 24/7 now makes it cheap to run.

Re: Relevant Radio expanding into Dayton-Cincinnati

What's sad is the Oasis had developed a pretty loyal following in the Cincy and especially Dayton markets. In the beauty pageant 12+ numbers in Dayton, it was ahead of 92.9, 95.3, 101.5, 103.9 and perhaps others. Dayton has already lost 94.5 & 106.5 to niche programming in the past few years; now i...

Re: Lions game TV delay

OTA's been ahead of everything else for a long time now. I remember in the early 2000s it was possible to sync up football games on cable with the AM radio call without time shifting or anything, but no longer.

OTA sure as hell isn't ahead of Vegas, though. Don't get suckered.

So it's basically The River minus 80's songs. Yawn.

Speaking of Potty 103.3, that piece of shit's officially made it for a whole year hasn't it?

Re: The new 910AM News Talk Superstation

Many years ago there was a book called "Dodger Dogs to Fenway Franks" written by a guy who spent the summer of 1985 visiting every MLB ballpark in the country, driving to all of them. He wrote about listening to Bruce Williams' show for much of his time driving at night. Anyway, this station looks a...

WTVG adding 7 pm news

..to go along with the 4 pm news they added last year, in addition to the 430-7 am, noon, 5, 530 and 6 pm news, along with "The Nine" which is a talk show hosted by local news people. Appreciate their commitment to local programming when the rest of Toledo media is dying, but is there really enough ...

Over the past few days I've been noticing WMTR on 96.1 semi-local here in the southwest Toledo metro, getting overpowered by WQLK from New Richmond, IN in the car at times

Re: 910 am super station breaking news

Sometimes down here in northwest Ohio, WMTR which airs the Tigers accidentally winds up airing the gambling talk (VSIN?) that 97.1 airs when the Tigers go into rain delay and they don't switch back to their local programming. I might expect that from a station in Archbold, OH. But one in Detroit? wo...
