Let's kidnap KISQ's PD and bring him to Detroit :lol :lol
Please do! I'd love to hear a station where *somebody* has some passion for music and radio instead of just "upload the playlist and ignore the station". There is way too much of that on the dial now.

Re: 98.7 The Breeze (Soft AC) is here!

98.1 The Breeze in S.F. switched to this format THREE YEARS ago, and they are still an "oh wow" station to me. The PD actually cares about the station and keeps the oh wow songs in, and ADDS to the playlist. That's SF. This is Detroit. Detroit radio is, at best, bland, dead and totally stale So bec...

Re: am 1250 Saginaw

Wow... 640 Kingsley. I was thinking it was lower on the dial, but, to be honest, this was back in like 1978 or maybe 80. I remember some commotion about Kingsley in the early 90's??? I don't recall all that much about it. Did 640 ever actually go on the air up there? Kingsley... did it have anything...

Re: Trumpy Bear

It’s sad the liberals didn’t have an Obama 🐻 bear, hand me a tissue Tito. Liberals can love their Trumpy Bear too. There is very little difference between Liberals and Conservatives. They both share the same pro-capitalist, anti-working class ideology. The only real difference is that Conservatives...

Re: Pure Michigan

I think a whole lot of people would gladly move out of "Pure Michigan" if they could afford to! Detroit, a "tourist destination"? Seriously? I drove from Flint to Detroit for ten years. I can honestly say that I never found an area down there I would consider moving into in order to cut my commute. ...

Re: Comcast Business Internet

I've seen it. Spectrum did something similar a year or two ago. Here's what I think is hysterical... For their HOME products, it all "you'll miss the fucking big game without this $300 a month package, you idiot" mentality, but how prim and proper are the BUSINESS ads, with all the hyperbole of "ROI...

Re: Nestlè Waters - "Flint" spot

I never understood all the animosity toward Nestle. If any taxpayers wish to be angry at anyone - direct that anger toward the dummies in Lansing. Nestle is simply practicing smart business by negotiating a negligible use tax with regard to spring water. Are they supposed to go to Lansing and say "...

Re: AOR Story Directory From 1970s

I not only remember it, but own it on DVD. I also have the soundtrack on cassette. I don't remember where I saw it, but it would have been at the Meridian Mall or at Frandor in Lansing (now a Rite Aid). I remember it well, and I still have my original gatefold promo LP in great shape. Someone at WT...

Re: AM Radio 2020

I totally agree, it’s a waste for AM and FM just a scam from the beginning way back in the late 90’s, the only reason it was developed was so the big broadcasters could try to thwart of satellite radio, they had a fear satellite radio would kill terrestrial radio, low and behold that was not the ca...

Re: am 1250 Saginaw

CK, that's the way I heard it, was somehow, he didn't know it was a daytimer. I mean, come on, WLAC blasts into Michigan at night like their nextdoor. I find that hard to swallow myself, but it came from a reasonable source who was much closer to McCluskey's inner circle than I was at the time. Haha...

Re: WBBL gone

I agree with Schyster that the web presence is a clusterf*ck right now. My guess is there is a lot of work going behind the scenes, and everything will look much more orderly once all stations have their final formats. Or not... Look what is still on WWCK-AM's site... http://www.supertalk1570.com/t...
