She's also the oldest artist to chart in Billboard history.

Re: Peggy 99.1 Winnipeg to flip to Country

Yeah, Tracy's version sounds more country than some of these so-called "country artists". I wish this current style would decline and we'd go back to a more traditional-sounding country.

I've eaten there a few times. The food's great and yes, the portions are large.

I'm wondering where he is too. I know he had that thread where he said he had a health issue. Hope he's OK.

I can imagine Anthony Bourdain smiling right now wherever he is. Good riddance Kissinger.

Re: Ad Blockers And Privacy

YouTube has been trying to ban adblockers after allowing them for years. But now a privacy activist says that these popups violate privacy as YT is scanning extensions for adblockers enabled. He's filed a complaint with the EU alleging they're breaking EU law.

I think Dish has a way to integrate OTA antennas with their recievers. Hooking that up will allow you to get the OTA feed on the guide and allow you to record. Dish has encouraged antenna usage in recent years, as carriage disputes are getting out of hand.

Re: I finally did it!!! I dumped Xfinity for video service in favor of YouTubeTV!

We've been thinking about dropping Dish for a couple of years now. We subscribed to Hulu with Live TV in 2021, but we ended up staying with Dish because they bent over backward to keep us and gave us a reduced price. My brother and sister-in-law dropped DirecTV and went with YouTubeTv as they now ha...

Re: Peggy 99.1 Winnipeg to flip to Country

CHR is in such a rut that it's drawing from Country - probably more than at any time since the early '80s (even the Faith Hill/Shania Twain crossover era in the late '09s/early '00s wasn't this big). Look at the crossover success of Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs this year. A year ago at this time, i...

Re: PARTY 103.3 Over/Under

Andrew on a country station is weird to me. When I think of Andrew Z, I don't think of country music. Andrew Zs audience is not the same that are country fans. The Wolf's audience in the morning will probably either go to K100 or 103.7. Going from his show to a NashIcon-style format will be an absol...

Re: 96.7 W244EN Flint/Lapeer. Junkalator

I listened a little bit to God and Country when I visited Shipshewana in September. It was an interesting format, and I liked it a little better than the regular CCM stations. Contemporary Christian music is a bit repetitive for me, but the KLOVE jocks all have very fun and pleasant demeanors on the...

Stream 419 app

There's a new app that launched a few weeks ago called Stream 419. It's a partnership with all the different internet radio station owners. There's Classic Hits 419, with a large variety of hits from the '60s, '70s, and '80s, Towpath Radio, which is mostly true oldies, River Rat Country, which plays...

There were 2 versions of The Carpenters "Merry Christmas Darling" the original in 1970 & the remix in 1978.
I believe it was actually a new recording, not a remix.
Which version do most radio stations play?

Re: Most Cringy Christmas Music

I think Karen is also the queen of Christmas. Her angelic voice fits the music perfectly. Mariah is overrated as a Christmas artist.

Paul McCartney has admitted to disliking "Wonderful Christmastime" and only did it because his label wanted him to do it.
