Re: Nash fm 93-1 WDRQ

The new sweepers suck. They sound low budget. The production quality isn't even in the same league as the material voiced by Scott Fisher. They do not belong on a major market station...or even a medium market station. They truly sound *that* bad. They sound like something lifted from a station in M...

Re: Sara Wurfel and Dave Murray are either liars or morons

Did you eat the paint chips? Did you drink leaded gasoline or inhale the vapors?

My point is - your comparisons aren't exactly analogous to ingesting WATER contaminated with lead.

I hope you are correct that the victims don't suffer long-term effects.

Sara Wurfel and Dave Murray are either liars or morons

Un-fucking-believable (actually, it isn't...these are public "servants" from Snyder's corrupt administration): http://michiganradio.org/post/reporter-s-notebook-some-state-officials-still-denial-or-misinformed-over-flint-river-decision#stream/0 Still waiting for Snyder's hand-picked...err independen...

Re: Trump Rally In Grand Rapids

i parked in the neighborhood behind it on ferris street, i got there at about 6pm too, i was standing in the crowd to the right of trump, i actually saw where i was on WOODs camera pan. Not an option for us, unfortunately. My mom has a bum knee; would've been too far for her to walk. If she weren't...

Re: Trump Rally In Grand Rapids

You're lucky, 48125. I arrived too late and couldn't get in. Watched the whole speech online. Other than the first 15 or 20 minutes, the speech was mediocre. He found a way to stretch material worthy of a 30 minute speech into an hour long speech. Surprisingly, he spent very little if any time discu...

Re: Could Bush, Christie, Kasich honestly make an impact?

One of the men Brian named could quite possibly wind up being the V.P. nominee - especially Kasich or Bush. I don't see how the Republicans take the White House unless they win at least one of those states.

The Clinton campaign is absolutely justified in being fearful of a Rubio / Kasich ticket.

Re: Time to make the DNC feel the bern

http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/19/politics/ ... index.html If Bernie had any guts, he would announce at tonight's debate that he's leaving the party and running as an independent. This is very embarrassing for that pathetic party. I agree that Saturday Night is an awful time for a political debate to b...

Re: Snyder admin. willfully poisons Flint's water customers

That is some outstanding reporting from Michigan Radio. How sad that the Freep, Detroit News, and local TV outlets are incapable of reporting on this dastardly failure of local, state and perhaps federal government in similar fashion. They are getting schooled by a non-commercial radio station. As f...

Re: GOP Debates Part 5...

NS8401 - your analysis is well reasoned and I commend you for the effort you invested in compiling & sharing your very thoughtful commentary. That being said - I disagree with several of your main statements. (I also happen to agree with several key comments you made). Where I Agree... Bush had a st...

Re: Snyder admin. willfully poisons Flint's water customers

Mayor Weaver is completely justified in seeking federal relief.

The actions of her predecessor need to be thoroughly investigated. I believe multiple levels of government were complicit in a cover up. The lack of widespread attention by local media is very disturbing.

Re: Ted Cruz's unreasonable policy positions

I like the concept of eliminating the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. It should've been eliminated 20 years ago. There are numerous agencies on Cruz's list that make sense to eliminate or downsize; however, others exist for a legitimate reason. The CPB should be funded exclusively by member sta...

Re: 2016 Presidential Polls

Do not count Rubio out. Just sayin'. I think he'll be the next guy to surge, and it could happen at just the right time. For the record, I personally have no issue with Audiophile's way of spelling "crap." It's like Krispy Kreme (although I'm not suggesting Krispy Kreme donuts taste like crap...quit...

Re: Ted Cruz's unreasonable policy positions

It shouldn't be the federal government or unelected judges imposing their own definition of marriage — we should instead respect our constitutional system. So, the Supreme Court shouldn't be adjudicating matters of constitutionality? The above comments wouldn't bother me that much if it weren't for...

Ted Cruz's unreasonable policy positions

I believe Ted Cruz as a Republican presidential nominee would guarantee a Hillary Clinton presidency. I think the electoral vote map might look even worse than it did in 2012 from a GOP standpoint. Below is a summary of policy positions that - in my opinion - make Cruz unelectable on a national scal...

Re: 2016 Presidential Polls

To compare Cruz to Reagan is just silly, in my opinion. Ronald Reagan was a very pragmatic politician & President who was willing to look for common ground on domestic policy issues. Cruz is the complete opposite of this. Reagan supported amnesty; Cruz opposes it. As a sidenote, Cruz's Obamacare hyp...
