Re: Hey WDIV, so just where is Idlewild?

I noticed the same thing when I saw the story. I knew about the place because I had heard about it years ago, but it seemed like she was trying to keep it a secret in the story.

Re: Does the "Reproductive Freedom" amendment give rights to men?

As has been discussed already in RTL circles, that it strips the parents' rights away for minors, so I think in the same way the man has no say. Not sure why you say that. This question isn't about the parents. The father certainly is a part of that particular reproductive cycle but the parents are...

Does the "Reproductive Freedom" amendment give rights to men?

Just wondering. If this amendment gets on the ballot and passes this November, does it actually give some rights to the father of an unborn child with the first sentence (bolded)? It definitely places limits on what the legislature can do, and allows for SOME regulation, but I'm wondering if by usin...

... . I maintain that they need to mandate a $10,000 a year cap on tuition in order for the institution to qualify for participation in Federal loan programs. If their number of students starts to dwindle they’ll adjust accordingly. I'm kinda liking that plan!! It solves TWO problems! Less overall ...

Re: 20 Shot Four Dead

Over what duration of time? Mass shootings usually involve multiple victims in the same or similar places. If he shoots one every 2 hours that’s not a mass shooting unless you want very badly for it to be to prove a point. In this case a period of 4 hours… you’re stretching things. A stretch really...

"Both federal and private loans are disbursed directly to your school, which takes out tuition, fees and room and board if you live on campus. Any remaining funds from the loan will be distributed to you, according to your school’s policy. You may then return any funds you don’t need or use the mon...

Re: ALL MSU grads for the last 30 years are eligible for up to $10,000 in federal loan forgiveness!

It most certainly is "handing out bucks"!! Those bucks will never be paid back into the coffers (although even if they did they'd probably be wasted on something else just as useless). And really... no direct benefit??? No lower payments?? No earlier payoff of principle? No improvement of credit rat...

I know this thread is about BIDEN handing out the bucks, but this video speaks to the larger issue of the government in general handing out the bucks....

Re: ALL MSU grads for the last 30 years are eligible for up to $10,000 in federal loan forgiveness!

A Government NOT collecting taxes for some period of time might mean that company expanding operations and creating new jobs. Jobs that pay taxes and help mitigate the tax break. Then at some point the tax break goes away and taxes are collected. So you are wrong to assume the only winners are the ...

Re: ALL MSU grads for the last 30 years are eligible for up to $10,000 in federal loan forgiveness!

In my opinion there is a fundamental difference between the Government handing out money and the Government NOT collecting money in the form of taxes. A not insignificant amount of "corporate welfare" is about NOT collecting taxes versus handing out cash. A government handing out money is taking it...

Re: C'mon PayPal - get your act together!

Yea, that's insane. Just a bit of QC is all that's needed. Maybe they did QC and the folks doing it were largely a result of the educational system. I've had and used PayPal for a LONG time, but getting more and more disillusioned by it and wonder what other electronic payment system would be better...
