NBC Thursdays

Tonight was the series finale of Superstore. Next week Manifest returns along with L&O SVU and the new L&O Organized Crime. This means except for a short time a few years ago, (I'm not sure when) their will be no sitcoms on NBC on Thursday night since at least 1982, (the first season of Cheers and t...

Re: Ken Jennings as Jeopardy! Host

Dr Oz is the host this week. He's ok. A lot of people are mad because they consider him a Snake Oil Salesman, (I never really paid attention to him.) His voice seems a little to gravely for the job. So far Ken Jennings seems the best host.

[quote=sfpcc post_id=661788 time=1615644586 user_id=4168] Paul Carrack played keyboards for Roxy Music around 1980, (the Flesh And Blood album.) He also has a credit on their final album, 1982's Avalon, (Track 8 / To Turn You On.) I saw Roxy Music at Cobo during the Avalon tour. I was 15 and it was ...

“Love Is The Drug” was out at the same time as “How Long” by Ace. Paul Carrack was the lead vocalist on that tune. Thanks sfpcc, for the Great Memories.

How Long was played on tonight's Superstore.

Re: Love Is The Drug

Here are some more Roxy Music connections. Roxy Music's Avalon tour had three Backup Singers, Michelle Cobbs, Fonzi Thornton, and Tawatha Agee. Fonzi Thornton was one of the singers for Chic. Tawatha Agee did the vocals for the Mtume's Juicy Fruit which was released in May of1983. This was the same ...

Re: Michael Bolton-Everybody's Crazy

[quote=matt1 post_id=661878 time=1615690326 user_id=14144] Beavis & Butthead in 1993 or 1994 played the music video for "Everybody's Crazy" & they did not switched the channel though. Love Is The Drug

Does anyone out there remember hearing Roxy Music's Love Is The Drug on Detroit radio? I would guess it got some play on WABX and WRIF's overnight Rock Cafe, (probably not WLLZ.) I kind of wonder if it was played any top 40 stations that you can recall? About 15 years ago WCSX played Both Ends Burni...

I think Bolton opened up for Bob Seager around that time as well.

He also opened for Blue Oyster Cult in San Juan Puerto Rico, (that band seems to have played everywhere.)

ESPN / NHL Reach A Deal

The NHL and ESPN have agreed to a seven year deal which involves Four Stanley Cup games. The 10 year NBC deal has expired, (yeah I know I left out a lot of details.)

Yet Another Jeopardy Post

Yesterday WDIV bumped jeopardy For the State Of The City Address. However it was broadcasted at 3:30, between an infomercial and NBC's Early News. Channel 4 used to simply skip the episode every time something like this happen, but since Alec Trebek died Jeopardy has got more attention. I remember c...
