Re: I disagree with our weather forecasters on TV
A decent fail in the forecast today by most outlets? Partly Cloudy w/20% chance of thunderstorms? Uhhh, no.

The Bet, on 97.1?
Seriously, 97.1 couldn’t find anyone to host a slow Thursday night, so they’re simulcasting 1270 The Bet??

Re: WXYZ leads with fake weather news at 5PM
I hear you loudly and clearly, but I try to call strikes & balls. I called it "fake" because the alarmist reporting on your station's part was completely unnecessary and untruthful. It was the TV equivalent of misleading click bait. 4 Pushes sunny days on their app alerts as “we’re tracking it all ...

Where has he been? Did he leave with Andrew Humphrey? We’re stuck with Brett Collar and Bryan Schuerman as fill-ins for now.

Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?
Recent press releases list Amyre Makupson as a new hire in the production area. A few show a picture that’s clearly not Amyre (Porter) Makupson, from WGPR/WKBD in the 1970s-1990s. Is the new hire someone else with the same name?

Re: Meteorologist Andrew Humphrey leaving WDIV after 20 years
https://youtu.be/5xIMaDcvoEU :hat Guy basically works any shift asked, busts his ass to stand out as a team player as told in the above video with insane schedules and WDIV rewards that with ... giving the top job to someone who has shown ZERO dedication to the station in the past. This is the shit...

Re: June 2022 radio ratings
Re: WOMC I'm sure having heritage and the format to themselves doesn't hurt, but I find them mediocre at best. Oddly enough, I'm in the demo, and barely listen to them. Those I know my age and older who like classic hits, don't listen either. They stream. And we are talking people in their late 50'...

Re: WOMC playing 2000s songs
The Motown Song was part of WOMC’s playlist for several years, probably ending when Entercom took over (2017?). Listening to WOMC is like a visit to Kohl’s (yawn). They’re about as boring as you can get in terms of ridiculously small library and blah hosts. But they get good ratings, so who am I to ...

Classic Rock A to Z
I really enjoyed WCSX’s A to Z weekend this year, as it’s been awhile since they veered off of the regular playlist. It’s too bad that WOMC never does any different holiday weekend programming. Audacy sure runs a boring Classic Hits station, but I guess that ratings still are successful for them.

Re: Nielesn Audio Ratings for May
The last time WDVD was this low is pre-PPM when sister station 93.1 was doing milquetoast CHR. I'm talking 2003 or thereabouts. 96.3 needs to step up its game in afternoons and evenings and needs to stop being a knock off of Mojo's show in mornings. Dave Fuller should be moved to middays. 93.1 does...

Mikey wannabes
Costa and Rico are starting to sound like Valenti more and more these days, IMO. Am I the only one who thinks that? With Costa, he’s even picking up some of Mike’s speech patterns….I had to stop for a minute to see if it was Costa, or Mike.

Re: I disagree with our weather forecasters on TV
Some of the TV folks spent way too much time discussing a severe t-storm risk that was minimal. Completely agree regarding the wind advisory. NWS didn't do a great job forecasting the precise time window, but the winds were roaring mid & late afternoon yesterday. Metro Airport saw a gust of 58 mph ...

Re: Library sizes
600 titles would be welcomed, as I’d think that many of our non-current based stations are well under that.
Does anyone know: Going back 15+ years, did stations like CSX and WOMC have bigger libraries than now; or was it just a perception, due to better scheduling/rotations?
