Re: Trump is 50% more popular than Whitmer; James tied with Peters
Title says it all. 39% is nothing to write home about, but it is a lot better than 26%! https://www.fox2detroit.com/news/new-poll-shows-voters-rate-president-trumps-job-performance-better-than-gov-whitmers Trump or no Trump, John James is a formidable candidate. I've followed him for quite some tim...

Re: TV RF Channel Changes
I still think the WPBN & WTOM changes are absolutely stupid. Ch. 16 should have gone to WPBN, and left WTOM alone with its current Ch. 35. Seems to me that makes more sense, and easier with not having to replace equipment at one site. IMHO, WTOM should have gone to RF 7 after the 2009 transition (a...

Re: 101.9 wldr
92.3 seems to be an open carrier more than 99.3 or 101.9. That might be because WBNZ is trying to pick up 101.1 WGRY over the air, which is almost a no-go in Benzie County when there's any enhancement due to WIXX

Re: Can You Tell Me Before Friday Night...
I was surprised to hear the Michigan State/Penn State game on B93 this afternoon. We now know who's the fourth overflow station when Michigan, MSU, WMU, and GVSU overlap! The Vegas point spread on that game is a joke. Penn State should've been favored by a much larger margin. They are one of the be...

Re: WPRR's 102.5 translator
Throw in that 1680 might not be operating at its licensed 10kW (in Manistee, 1660 from Kalamazoo is stronger than 1680 from closer Ada)

WPRR's 102.5 translator
WPRR's translator on 102.5 has been airing a high-pitched nose instead of its regular programming for several weeks now! 95.3 is airing WPRR programs as normal. WPRR has very few listeners, but they somehow managed to get two translators, therefore blocking one of the frequencies that could have bee...

Re: 2019 Detroit Lions
The whole division is garbage, honestly. Which football league are YOU watching? The NFC North ranks 2nd out of 8 divisions. 18-8-1 NFC West 16-9-1 NFC North 12-11 AFC East 14-13 AFC South 13-13 NFC South 13-15 AFC West 9-17 AFC North 9-17 NFC East Yet, the NFC East still gets the most coverage on ...

Re: The untold story of TV-43
I wonder if cell phone companies are also on the Vermontville tower.
I did read somewhere that WZPX was one of the highest-rated PAX stations, due in no small part to their secondary WB affiliation, which was only picked up after WB programming was dropped from WGN Superstation

Re: EMF expanding in Green Bay
That Albany, GA station looks like even more of a rimshot than 106.5. Since that went for only $90,000 it wouldn’t surprise me if WTOD is only worth $200K, $300K at the most. The Albany GA station's 60dBu doesn't even cover much of the city of Albany! At least WTOD's 60dBu includes about half of To...

EMF expanding in Green Bay
http://www.northpine.com/blog/2019/10/16/k-love-operator-buys-green-bay-station/ EMF, the owners of K-Love and Air 1, are buying 104.9 WPCK from a Cumulus divestiture trust. I am thinking Air 1 will end up on 104.9 since K-Love is already heard on 90.5 from Sturgeon Bay, which has a very good signal...

WFKB is on RF 19 with PSIP 38. WLLD (still listed as W25ET-D on the FCC website) is on RF 25, but it will have to pick up a different PSIP to eliminate confusion with WEYI (which is on RF 18). Both of these broadcast from the Saginaw area. The religious on 24 is the 3ABN digital translator near Midl...

Re: Lake Michigan FM Bandscans
1. WCMM is now 60kW, but with no other changes (still same TL and HAAT) 2. WKZC might not be running its licensed 17kW as it has weak spots even in Manistee. Also I noticed it did not appear on the 2019 central UP scans despite 97.7 and 98.7 from the same area showing up in both scans. 3. The Eagle ...

Re: Betting public not loving MSU and UM this week
FWIW, I do really like the under (47 1/2) in the Michigan-Iowa game though. Nailed that one! There is a Big Ten adage...."Away Iowa is a different team than Kinnick Iowa". Proved very true Saturday. I did think the Michigan defense was impressive, however Stanley was terrible. No major early moveme...

Stunting idea
With UAW on strike against GM with no end in sight, I feel that a radio station that is struggling should stunt with Christmas music, then either when the strike ends or December 26, whatever happens first, they should either flip to a new format or rebrand their existing format.
