Re: WZZM Hires Meteorologist

Interesting moving in the middle of this mess. But we don't know the back story, maybe he was let go. George's Faceboook post contained a brief bio about the new hire. Sounds like Michael last worked at Tenga-owned KYTX CBS 19 in Tyler, Texas. He will be working from there until the COVID-19 crisis...

Re: Meteorologist Aaron Ofseyer Leaving WZZM

Will be interesting to see where Aaron winds up given his statement they are staying in the area but does not say what he will be doing. Gut feeling that once the non-compete clause expires, he'll wind up on WOOD doing the 7pm weather segments and become chief meteorologist there when Bill Steffen r...

Fox17 Blitz adds Dan Harland

Fox17 has announced that former WZZM sports and morning anchor Dan Harland will be joining their Friday night Blitz sports show. No idea if he is joining the station full time or as a part timer while maintaining his post-13 gig as a Realtor. This makes three former WZZM staffers that have later wou...

Re: Any good skips caught today?

92.7 The Van was completely ripped up by some station playing "Happier" by Marshmello/Bastille (wasn't able to ID it). WYVN was off the air for part of the weekend. The storms that roared through early Saturday took down power lines in the Saugatuck area that resulted in the station going off the a...

Re: Janet Mason to Retire...

That station is beyond a train wreck. Why Gannett/Tenga kept her around is beyond me. Shocked nobody at corporate saw that despite all the changes, two things remained the same: low ratings and Janet Mason was in charge. One bonehead move MW missed in terms of Janet Mason's incompetence: failure to ...

Re: Meteorologist Anthony Domol joins FOX 17 Morning News

If he's going to be Tuesday-Saturday, I assume Candace Monacelli (sp?) will be Sun & Mon? Odd way of doing the anchor team scheduling. Then again way back Fox 17 used a Sun-Thu and Fri & Sat anchor schedule

Re: Garry Frank Leaving WXMI

And today Tracy Hinson announced she was leaving KPTV (Fox 12 in Portland, OR) the station she left WXMI for. But she hasn't said where she is going other than " to pursue opportunities in the Midwest and East Coast. "

Re: What ever happened to WZND Zeeland?

Actually the WZND tower on 96th Ave (literally right next to I-196) has not been used for FM broadcasting in at least 25 years. By spring 1993, the transmitter had been moved three miles east to 72nd Ave and I-196. The old WZND tower blew over in the May 1998 windstorm but was rebuilt for cellular a...

Re: Spectrum subscribers lose access to WXMI

Spectrum claims Tribune wants triple the old amount. Tribune says this wrong and they only want fair compensation. However, neither side has disclosed numbers. Am curious how much it is per subscriber per month.
