Re: NBC LX Launches in Detroit
I'm not sure if 18.6 even has a name. Might just be a collection of programming rights purchased by the TV station. Right now, The Lucy Show is on. No commercials, no ID, etc. aired between the 6a and 6:30a episodes. So far, based on what I've seen and what you've seen, the theme seems to be classi...

Any idea what is on 18.6? All I've seen is Petticoat Junction and the Beverly Hillbillies.

I work at Kroger and the place was packed. How is that safer than going up north or golfing?

Re: The media wants you to panic
They declared an emergency in short order — with 3 weeks and got the ball rolling on handling it. I’m not expecting day of response times but Trump took 7 weeks of kicking and screaming and denying it existed. Obama set up the pandemic response team so that next time we’d be ready respond faster. T...

Re: The media wants you to panic
Actually, Obama waited until 1,000 people had died before he declared an emergency. And over 10,000 died after that declaration.

Re: The media wants you to panic
It wouldn't hurt the media to put things in a little context. A little over a week ago, the mortality rate for the coronavirus in America was around 3.5%. Today it is closer to 1.5%. Wouldn't this information ease the panic just a little bit? Back in 2009 the H1N1 virus was killing a lot more people...

It actually isn't a bad addition to the OTA lineup. Looks much more professional than NewsNet.

You're thinking of Discount Tire.brianp48093 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 4:17 pmWell, this would explain why when I had Art Van come out to fix my broken recliner in JANUARY, they had to “order parts” and have been jerking me around ever since. I’d like to bring the chair to the store and throw it through their fucking window.

I know that morning radio show that is simulcast on 14.12 will no longer be on that channel in January. Maybe that simulcast will move to Circle?

Re: CBSDetroit62
The call letter change made sense, because the WGPR calls supposedly originally stood for "Where God's Presence Radiates." While I don't think 62 was ever marketed as a "Christian" or religious station, their prime time schedule and much of their daytime schedule was filled with programs from vario...
