The legal question seems to be: can an individual state refuse to have a candidate for a Federal election on the ballot of that state? He may be on the ballot of the other states, but not in that state.

My understanding is that the dues will now be automatically deducted from your paycheck whether you are Union or not; and that you still do not have to join a Union. The Union has to represent you whether you are a dues paying Union member or not.

Re: AM Civil Defense pre-1963

My understanding is that 640 was for a 'national' channel, as it is a clear channel; 1240 was for the 'local' channel. There were two 640 transmitters, one on the east coast, and one on the west coast, Every city or area had their own 1240 station. Is this understanding correct?

WDCQ identifies themselves as Bad Axe, followed by Bay City, Saginaw, Midland, and Flint. Bad Axe is technically the COL, even though they are programmed out of Delta College, which is west of Bay City. Bad Axe always comes first; the other 4 are rotated. Sometimes, Bay City comes first, sometimes S...

Re: Self Checkout

If they don't want all that to happen, they should provide a real live person at a regular check out. One person at a check out station for 4 hours vs. somebody having to sort through, restock, trash, etc., what is in the cart. Not to mention the Goodwill by not having nasty word of mouths "don't sh...
