Re: WNWO (NBC) Toledo granted FCC license for new 275 kW DTV transmitter.
When TV13 went on the air in 1948, there was likely no 'lectricity' out there yet, and with WSPD-TV's tower downtown (on the iHeart compound), that freestanding tower probably only provided coverage to the City of Toledo and it's borders at that time (Oregon Township, Adams Township, Washington Town...

Re: Mega Millions ticket sold in Metro Detroit
We gotta talk this guy or gal, into buying the Detroit Cumulus cluster (and Toledo) and CLEAN HOUSE! Beckman is already going, now, Paul W and Rush are next out the door on the way to creating a new WJR for the 21st Century that will look more like the WJR of the late 20th Century?

Re: 106.5 Toledo
$110K, wow that depreciated quite a bit. Dan Dudley should have bought it back for BAS?
The Catholic BG station on 89.7 could have used 106.5 to gain them more westward coverage as K-Love already has a Wauseon/Swantucky signal on 96.9FM.

Re: Will WJR Soon Drop Talk For All News?
Drove thru Saginaw area back in 1989, and my Delco radio cranked out AM Stereo rock tunes from a station up there- audio quality was smokin as were the tunes; it was quite a nice surprise near Frankenmuth.

Re: WTOD still for Sale?
Don't think EMF would be interested as their K-LOVE 96.9 stick has to already be pretty close to the WTOD antenna, isn't it? Buys them no OTA listeners.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say that helicopter antenna was made from the finest Bounty papertowel rolls and toilet paper tubes and spray-painted?
And yes, Turkeytop, once this plague goes away later this year, I think a Middle Ages celebration would be appropriate!

WTOD still for Sale?
Has Cumuli's offshoot lowered the asking price for 106.5 WTOD-Swantucky yet? How long are they allowed to flounder without dumping their bonus stations, or are they betting on another Telecom Act, worse than 1996, that will allow foreign countries to own US broadcast stations so they can dump them o...

Re: Ken Jennings as Jeopardy! Host
Yes, TT we remember when it was in Black and White, and Don Pardo was the announcer and you got to sit down at your little desk with a fresh solo cup of water? And 2 or 3 guys would pull out the dividers behind the board for the clues? What is the Original Jeopardy! ?

Re: Reciva to stop streaming broadcast radio on 1/31/2021
Would be nice if Grace Digital would give us trade-ins for 50% off on replacement Internet Radios after the early death of their Mondo model, which is too bad as it works pretty decent, until this crash-and-burn with Receiva renders it an orphan.

Re: Frank Beckmann to retire from WJR
They wouldn't dare move Mitch into Frank's slot, would they? All News Radio 760 sounds more probable each day. Especially if Rush hangs it up this year, they could stick with news all day, and easy listening music all night (NightFlight 760) and I'd be okay with that.

Yep, what's going on, are they images, translators, or mixing with another broadcast station or LMR frequency?
