Also the late Jerry Garcia played pedal steel guitar on Brewer & Shipley's 1971 song "One Toke Over The Line".

I had to go back and listen to that song again, By God, there IS a steel guitar in that song.

I think he did some pedal steel on Graham Nash's "Songs for Beginners" album as well.
