Re: WFCX to Central Michigan for $500,000
I'll tell you one thing, when they were 15 kW nondirectional as a Class C3, I heard 94.3 most of the time in SE Michigan with my antenna and receiver. They were on an 82 foot tower! After they went to Class C2 with a Directional Antenna, I never heard it again. But that was also before all the 94.3...

He also drank a lot and used drugs in the 70s and 80s.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 7:00 pmI'm surprised he lived this long.
Didn't he suffer a collapsed lung about five years ago?
I remember that the VERY short-lived talk format on 100.1 in Bear Lake aired his radio show (or was supposed to air it).

Is WCMV-FM available? It covers a lot of the same area WCMV (TV) covers

I also heard that their “Radio Centre Building” mortgage with TC State Bank has been in arrears. Um, do you have any idea about the relationship between Midwestern Broadcasting and the owners of Radio Centre? I'm not 100% sure, but I would imagine the Radio Centre building is owned by a REIT. Also,...

Re: Fort Wayne radio market ratings from Eastlan
103.9 in Fort Wayne had only a 0.5 share in spring 2019! Absolutely pathetic for a full-power (albeit Class A) stick located in the middle of Fort Wayne! Rimshots on 101.1* and 106.7, as well as the Catholic station on 106.3 (which is also a rimshot, but not to the extent of 101.1 or 106.7), exceede...

Re: Only the Lions
From now on, Lions fans during every home game should relentlessly chant, "SELL THE TEAM!" Only problem is - this team is cursed. If it were to be sold, the new owner would quite possibly be every bit as incompetent (if not more so) than the Ford Family. Good point. It's not like idiot owners are a...

Re: WZPX (ION) files app to move closer to Grand Rapids
WZZM-TV proposed a waiver of CFR 47 Section 73.610(b)(1), which requires 170 miles (actually 169.5 miles) between the transmitters (WSPD-TV/WTVG) in the application to move the TL. They also proposed a reduced ERP of 228 kW Visual 45.6 kW Aural. The HAAT was not shown on the History Card. The waive...

Re: 106.7 is no more
Will this soon go non-com, with 24/7 Catholicism and non stop Hail Marys? No, Relevant Radio couldn't afford to run WMKD @ 100kw a decade ago. Relevant Radio merged with California-based Immaculate Heart Radio a couple of years ago, which gives the combined networks a large donor base, and just bou...

Yesterday I heard Van Halen's "Why Can't This Be Love" on Eagle 101.5 Manistee. Also, 92.3 WBNZ's commercial-free active rock format has played "Me Wise Magic" from DLR's very brief first return to Van Halen in 1996 (pre-Cherone)

Re: The State of TC - Petoskey Radio
Quite the mess, isn't it? Now we can just hope Nielsen walks away from the market because it eventually won't have enough subscribers (as I don't know how Blarney could possibly justify spending any form of currency to get the result they are likely to get from their current array of stations, and ...

Re: The State of TC - Petoskey Radio
Some predictions: 1. At least one station doesn't renew its license in this coming license cycle. 2. At least one commercial station changes frequency. 3. As a result of CMU buying 94.3, IPR shells out $$$ to buy 101.9 and moves IPR News there. IPR then spins off 91.5 to the Promise FM, giving them ...

Ahh, yes I forgot all about GKB flipping their Country station in Milwaukee to ESPN. Mr. Karmazin loves his ESPN, for better or for worse. I could’ve sworn C-Bus had another Country station....well, maybe Saga should be seeing a Yuuuuuge format hole then! Rewind has horrible ratings anymore. I stil...
