Re: MLB Opening Day delayed at least two weeks
Earliest I see games being played is around May 1. I predict the schedule will be chopped up and an entirely new schedule will be drawn up. Divisional opponents normally play 19-20 games against each other in six series. If MLB were to drop divisional opponents to four series consisting of a total o...

Re: NBA suspends remainder of season
Not at all surprised. He was goofing around touching reporters' tape recorders, etc., too, as a joke just three days ago. What an asshat... For that action, Gobert should be suspended the first few games of next season. Also, if the season resumes with playoffs, the Jazz should be thrown out of the...

Despite WTCM's struggles in the northern half of the market, they still have the market lead due to their absolute dominance in Benzie, Manistee, and Wexford counties

Still at zero concern. Media wants to scare people. The stores love it- more money! You really are a dope. Italy has locked down the ENTIRE COUNTRY for a month. Italy has a very old population (older than that of the US). Among European countries, UK, Ireland, and eastern Europe seem to not be affe...

Re: WKLT-fm, Kalkaska and WKLZ-fm, Petoskey
What is airing on 98.9 FM right now? Did it switch to K-Love, or is the station off the air for the moment? As of 11:45 PM 98.9 Petoskey is silent, but 6000 watt EZ listening WEMP is booming in here like a semi local here on the east side of Traverse. In Manistee, WEMP has usually been in with a wea...

Re: 99.3 wqan and 92.3 wbnz
Was driving thru southern benzie county and they both are broadcast in low power. 99.3 is def weaker then 92.3. 92.3 is still some sort of rock format. 99.3 is timeless 99. An oldies format. Also heard mention of 101.9 wldr while listening to it. Lol What in the world is going on with these station...

I wonder if the bankruptcy filing will be Chapter 7 or Chapter 11.
I'm very surprised ABC Warehouse is still in business.

Re: The Fox soon WCMU
If I were buying WFDX, my strategy would be to apply to the FCC for an STA to operate at reduced power, keep the Petoskey translator in operation, apply to the FCC to reduce class status and change COL, and propose a Class A allotment to Atlanta to backfill the "loss of service." If an Alpena area ...

Re: MGB went to the Sale Rack and found WSRT
Hard to believe that WLDR was sold back in the early 2000s for $3.8 million (and that 100kW central-market signal might be worth $200k today). Based on the Northern sale prices, it's not a question of if any licenses will not be renewed, it's a question of how many will not be renewed. Speaking of C...

BBN has bought up a few failed commercial stations in recent years, such as 99.9 on the south side of Chicago and the 93.7 between Lafayette and Baton Rouge in Louisiana

Re: Omelette returns
My bold prediction for WSRT: MacDonald-Garber buys it and flips it to Country as a simulcast of 96.7 the Bull. With this move, I could see the Bull shift to a playlist similar to Duke FM and WNKN/WNKR. I'm a little surprised EMF and Midwestern haven't done a deal similar to a swap, which would see 9...

I'd rather gouge my eyeballs with razor blades than listen to her. Bring back Steve Aldrich!!!!! +1 I’m in Lansing currently and tuned into LAV today. It generally came in loud and clear before their tower issues. Now it comes in but nowhere near like it used to LAV's new tower is 15-20 miles farth...

Re: Updates
I just heard Terry Ray on 'KLT mention that 93.5 will be a simulcast of 97.5 starting at midnight. She also said there may be a third station added.(96.7 WRGZ maybe?) 98.9 is currently silent. Also WMKT is now broadcasting on their new translator at 103.3. 96.7 WRGZ would make sense since it and 99....

Re: KLT lives in the far north!!! 93.5 to dump Country.
As far as Country listening goes, WMKC indeed has a commanding share in the northern reaches of the market. Probably a 3:1 advantage over WTCM-FM/WBCM-FM, I would say. That's been true for many, many years. Country "dying" as a format? Are you joking? It's one of the most successful terrestrial FM ...
