This might be a gray area. The first amendment doesn't necessarily protect you from your employer. If I express views that many find offensive, I don't have to worry about the government restricting my speech but my employer can discipline me if they choose to. I find that the vast majority of sports radio personalities who are not former pro athletes are ridiculous. Sports and politics, two subjects where the listening public trusts the opinions of people who have no experience with the subject matter they are discussing.

In the end, it is impossible to be a complete authority on sports regardless of your sex.
