Re: WLMI Flipping

What logic is there to this? Midwest takes their best in-market signal and tries to position between WMMQ, WHZZ and a little bit of their own WJXQ. Returning to a variation of a format they did on the same frequency before debut of i929. They need to hire a few known Lansing names to give it a chanc...

WSRJ Sold

Looks like Northern Broadcast has sold WSRJ 105.5 to non-commercial Good News Media: $350,000 of which $145,000 is a gift.

Re: WLNZ 89.7 FM Shutting Down

Forgot about the 104.7 translator. I believe that was once operated by Spring Arbor University (as was KTGG prior to the sale to the Seventh Day Adventist group), and was a simulcast of WSAE. Coverage back then, even over downtown Lansing, was marginal at best. I'll have to check it out to see the ...

Re: WLNZ 89.7 FM Shutting Down

My prediction: The Seventh Day Adventist group that owns & operates 91.9 WGCP in Cadillac, 89.7 in Grand Rapids and various other stations across Michigan will acquire it. Is that the same group that operates KTGG 1540 in Okemos? Yes. Their TOH legal ID includes ALL of their stations. KTGG, which i...

My first reaction is that someone became jealous of the WKLT triple cast of stations.

Re: GVSU files a $50,000 deal to buy 95.3 translator from Goodrich Radio.

It's my understanding everything is for sale. 102.5 can't be separated from the AM as it was part of the AM Revitalization (haha). It's tied to the license forever otherwise GVSU would have jumped on that one also. If someone wants 102.5 they need to purchase 1680. If 1680 shuts down then 102.5 goe...

Re: "Stacks 92.1"

Am I the only one who finds it amusing that every AM & FM station licensed to Clinton County (excluding the high school station @ 91.3 MHz) now features a format primarily aimed toward the African American community? :hat ....that reside in Lansing and doing it with rimshot signals. Extra credit go...

Re: New WLNS GM

My lane? This is a broadcasting Buzzboard. I’m commenting on a new General Manager for one of the local TV stations and the potential impact on staffing for a station that has lost major talent to WILX and fails to win the rating race? How is that out of line with the purpose of thus website, pal? ...

Re: Channel 5 didn't carry CBS Evening News?

It was a CBS issue, not a WNEM issue. It affected all CBS stations in the Eastern Time Zone it appears:

Re: Gretchen the Media Queen

Also, it's interesting to see how little air time has been given to Whitmer's chief medical advisor, Joneigh Khaldun, whose main job seems to be standing six feet away from Whitmer and looking like a statue. Compare that to the air time given to Fauci and Birx at the national level. And what does W...
