Re: Channel 7 mornings for the non win
She should be way better, she was an anchor for the Russian state English Language propaganda channel, and she is okay at reading the voice overs for the consumer stories from the Scripps mothership in Denver, but not great. Plus, why do they pay a consumer and also an event/advertising reporter? Pu...

Re: Channel 7 mornings for the non win
They brought in Brian Able and Amera David (the coupon reporter) to anchor this morning. I ended up turning it off. They did okay reading stories, but it was so bad. They kept doing a 4 way split screen of them to do the banter, and neither of them could do it. The traffic girl was just standing the...

Re: Nielsen May 2020
I don't care about pro sports, and once cars started talking to ipods (now phones), playlists and podcasts started making a lot more sense than most drive time stations ("One of my co hosts is a girl. Harhar. The other coworker can't pick up a girl. harhar" Play two songs off a 20 song rotation. Rep...

Re: Detroit Protests coverage
7 is still trying to get the Popcorn guy killed, even though he agreed to sell the business to one of their advertisers.
Meanwhile not one update on Mike Morse-- other than their weekly boot licking sessions.

Re: Gretchen the Media Queen
Brian Able at 7 interviewed Gretchen. He asked her about the nursing home deaths she caused. They were not softball questions, they were t-ball.

Re: Channel 7 mornings for the non win
I have the 20 extended morning news on in the background while getting a head start on the weekly avalanche of work-- since everyone is home and generating more stuff. It isn't that horrible mostly, Aly Hoxie does a story/ad for some mall jewelry store that was more sad for her and her camera man th...

Re: Detroit Protests coverage
Got 7's coverage on which finishing up some work. They went full court press, but I don't know how many folks can make the whole loop, a lot of them are looking really dogged out. So they aren't getting a lot of good bites. The good news is the 7 team appears to be in the pretty good shape, the two ...

Re: Detroit Protests coverage
I am more upset about Murri getting away with promoting Maddox and loving on Mike Morse. But leading a lynch mob for bad speech must be a better way to sell ad times to car dealers and tort mills

Re: Detroit Protests coverage
Just caught the 7 morning coverage on the riots in Detroit. They were sucking up to Chief Craig for taking a knee for black people. I am old enough to remember the same Chief Craig slapped a Black commander on the wrist for beating a white man so bad he was in a coma at St Patricks day in Corktown, ...

He was good the first few times I saw him on air, but something at 7 is just not his thing. He stumbles on the live stuff.

Re: Gretchen the Media Queen
Yes, but there were a number of different outlets before broadcast. With corporate media and government broadcast licenses and cable agreements, it is only one side. Your point that I could listen to talk radio or fox to hear about local news is not a good one. You are seriously claiming the Detroit...

Re: Gretchen the Media Queen
You understand that the 50’s-early 00’s way of doing the news is an anomaly right? You can't have a democratic representative system where the dissemination of information is limited, by broadcast licenses and government cable system contracts, to democratic party only supporting corporate outlets....
