How about DAT or Digital Audio Tape? Which lasted about 2 years.

I only utilized that format for some voice tracks and remember it being kind of a pain in the ass and not really working with my edit controller. If I got something on DAT I would just dub it to digibeta and edit it from there.

Digital Beta, only around for about 5 years it was my favorite tape format to edit on, a lot better than D2.

The actual newsroom doesn't have to be that big because as I understand it, the reporters will work from home and their vehicles and communicate with producers and management via zoom or phone. Studio newsroom still hasn’t had its first electrical inspection from the city of Southfield and essential broadcast equipment still hasn’t been delivered. Those are the primary delays, the staff is impatient to get going.

My sources are telling me February with a soft launch at 11pm adding earlier shows down the line.

Long way to go until the newsroom and set will be completed, don't know the reason for the delay but it is still very much a construction site.
