Re: Michigan football - predictions
Based on performance and history, Rutgers belongs nowhere near the Big Ten. It’s because they can go after the New York City market that they are in the conference, ignoring the fact the people there do not care about college football. The area of New Jersey around Rutgers seems to have good HS foo...

Re: LAV STA/application status
Unfortunately, search doesn't work well with acronyms or short words. Sorry about that. Ha, it's okay. I should have seen the topic to start with (as detailed as I usually am!) Nice to have some information to start with though. It's always a complication with those STAs, applications, CPs, etc. an...

Re: Comcast Removing Detroit and Lansing Channels
Due to Comcast being cheap, they will only have WDCQ for PBS in Flint as of next month. I believe in the Sandusky area, the Comcast system doesn't carry any PBS outlet at all since the closure of WCMZ, as they made no effort to import local market station WTVS, or WDCQ, which has some roots in the ...

Re: Old Class C WMBN-FM/WLXT Site Near Cross Village
Couldn't have been much of a downgrade moving to its current site as WLXT is at maximum Class C1 facilities (100kW @ 981' HAAT) unless its HAAT was much higher than 981 feet

Re: Roy loses another station....
Why would WTCM-FM be forced to move its COL? Why not move Christian-format WLJN? Or WIAA, then WICA (licensed to Traverse City proper) could change its COL to Interlochen. WTCM, WIAA, and WOLW are the only non-Henderson FMs to put a city-grade signal over Bear Lake. WLJN's 60dBu comes up short of B...

Re: Most Dangerous Roads In Michigan
Genesee County doesn't give a hoot about their roads being salted and plowed in the winter either. Worst road commission in the state. Oakland County may take the cake for worst road commission. Many roads are not salted, especially in the west. Roads are too narrow in many places, and all of those...

Re: Ric Ocasek RIP
I preferred Benjamin Orr (sang lead on "Drive") myself, both as a songwriter and as a vocalist. They both had solo hits in 1986-87 and Ocasek's "Emotion in Motion" was pleasant enough, but Orr's "Stay the Night" is an underrated classic. But yeah, 2019 is turning out to be another hell of a year fo...

This year was a light year for major musical deaths until the one-two punch of Eddie Money and Ric Ocasek. I wonder who will be next?

Re: Only the Lions
They looked much better this week. I thought they were a little too conservative running the ball so much but in the end, they made key plays when they needed them. Also kudos to throwing on 3rd down late to get the first down and seal the deal. Suddenly that tie looks ok in the standings. They sti...

Will one of his Michigan licenses be pulled next? I thought one of them already was? WMTE Manistee That license should have been pulled years before it was pulled. Sad to think that if Lake Michigan Broadcasting/Synergy Media had held on a couple more years, 1340 would have been able to get a trans...

Re: Comcast Removing Detroit and Lansing Channels
WDCQ is still around. Charter Spectrum in Davison carries WCMU, WKAR, and WTVS (as well as WDIV and WXYZ), but doesn't carry WDCQ. Charter in Fenton carries four PBS members (WCMU, WDCQ, WKAR, WTVS). Due to Comcast being cheap, they will only have WDCQ for PBS in Flint as of next month. I wonder if...
