Re: WKLT-fm, Kalkaska and WKLZ-fm, Petoskey
Air-1 instead of K-Love ?!?! Wow, that is a big surprise. I thought for sure K-Love would air there. Air-1 is nowhere even remotely as popular as K-Love. 98.9 going Air-1 is very interesting. This also makes Traverse City-Petoskey one of very few markets to have Air-1 but no K-Love (the other examp...

Re: Governor to do a town hall on several Detroit TV stations
7&4 in Traverse City didn't air the town hall, allowing Wheel and Jeopardy to air as planned there. I'm assuming 29&8 aired it, as well as at least one of 9&10 and Local 32 I found that both WWTV 9 & WFQX 32 had the town hall on last evening. I say this because I flipped through my OTA channels dur...

Re: Covid 19 Media Layoffs Begin - Entercom
They say the economy will recover the second half of the year but I strongly doubt it. When this crisis ends, they'll be a need for more employees and advertising as places and venues open back up. But of course, this is the media we're talking about, and if the new formula works great now, any bet...

Re: Governor to do a town hall on several Detroit TV stations
The only major stations that won't be airing it appear to be WGTU/WGTQ, WLAJ, WOTV, and WBUP

Re: WOTV Post Repack
WOOD and WXMI were smart when they put translators on in the northern/western portions of the market (WOOD in Muskegon and Holland and WXMI in Muskegon and Hesperia). I also think WXMI has a translator or two in the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area I know WZZM had a translator in Kalamazoo in the station...

Re: Where's the evidence that "Stay at Home" slows the spread?
What a cheap shot, besides I have taught in accredited public schools and received paychecks for it. Without it the spread slows down, but it will just resume when lockdown is lifted. Actually the lock down can not be lifted until there is cure or until there is significant immunity wall. In Asia t...

Re: 102.7 wmom back on air
Is WLDN still around? Yes, and still simulcasting with 97.7 in Manistee. Their schedule seems to change a lot. They have Colin Cowherd in early afternoons followed by an old time radio hour. IMHO, WKLA-FM and WLDN should swap frequencies (with WKLA moving to the much stronger 98.7 and WLDN moving t...

It's the most wonderful time of the year
102.7 WMOM is on, at least temporarily, with Christmas music. First noticed it Thursday night (after hearing an open carrier earlier Thursday instead of religious hymns and teaching from WRVM)

Re: Outa Here
We've spoken by telephone with friends who have already left to return to Canada or the northern states. They say the northbound traffic was horrendous. Like a hurricane evacuation. My dad and I drove north from Orlando to Michigan on Friday and Saturday (as we had planned all along) and we didn't ...

Re: KROQ cans entire morning team
KROQ's ratings have been lackluster for a long time, not just in mornings, but throughout the week. They're tied with Class A Spanish KRCD! Considering how many stations are in the LA radio market, being T-14 isn't bad. There are several full-market commercial FMs behind them in the beauty pageant

Could 96.1 flip from sports?
With no sports until (minimum) Memorial Day, is there a chance 96.1 (and other sports stations nationwide) flip from sports to talk or even a music-based format?
