107.7 is also a rimshot. Its tower is 35 miles southeast of Buffalo. Country should do better than Alternative on this signal. The Edge broadcasts from the heart of Buffalo

Re: WAQP has two new sub-channels, DEFY and True Real
Reality show-driven diginets on a supposed Christian broadcasting station; now that's funny! The fact one of the networks is called "Defy" is rich irony. :) It will be interesting to see if sister station WTLJ in Muskegon / Grand Rapids begins adding more in the way of secular diginets. So far, the...

Re: May Nielsen survey for Grand Rapids
I'm surprised 96.1 hasn't dumped Sports for Urban AC, especially since it's 24/7 national feed now. I don't even think it airs much of anything in the PBP department outside of Saturdays in the fall (it seems like most of iHeart's sports properties air on 1300/106.9)

Re: WOOD-FM transmitter fried by lightning strike
I'm surprised iHeart hasn't dumped 96.1 or 101.3's format to temporarily rebroadcast WOOD 1300 (or bumped one of the HD2's they have in the market)

Re: 2022 political predictions
Will re-districting alone flip 4 House seats? I think Republicans hold on to both chambers of the Michigan Legislature. For the gubernatorial race, Whitmer will face at least one primary challenger, which will use up some $$$ she could use in the general election cycle. The general election will be...

Re: WLLA has subs… lots of them…
WACX in Orlando, FL has 11 (!!) subchannels. Amazingly, I was still able to get a decent signal from them near Universal Orlando (from a sixth floor room facing Bithlo) on my Milanix portable TV. WACX is on RF 7 to bootBull Shannon wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 9:21 amWLLA be like "How many subchannels can we have?"

There's some more:
The Harrietta tower built by WPBN in the early 1960s is home to 88.7 WIAA, 91.1 WOLW, and 91.9 WGCP
A tower near Benton Harbor is home to 89.9 WCXB, 94.9 WSJM, and 107.1 WIRX

Covid. The great equaliser. No lineups at the bank. No one is allowed in. Doesn't matter if you're wearing clothing with the labels on the outside, sandals with no socks or the correct brand of sunglasses on top of your head. Doesn't matter if you have a smart phone glued to one hand and a cup of S...

Re: How Many Of You Are Going To Participate In The FCC Auction?
It looks like Randy Michaels gave up on the Lake Isabella allotment. It had the call letters WRAX. The plug was pulled before it was licensed, from what it looks like. Does anyone know more about this? From what it looks like, it was so close to being short spaced, and the fully spaced area was so ...
