Re: TV5’s “A moment of calm”

Virus or no virus, we're still in the election season. Most of it has all been pulled as a lot of other advertising has been pulled too. Stations are just filling these time slots with promos and "calm" spots. Would you rather they filled with 800 numbers selling Boxcar Willie CD's or Ginsu knives?

Re: Retro TV WHNE

Too bad a lot of the metro cant receive it now...……….. :barf If a lot of metro can't receive WHNE, then they need to get an antenna that's capable of receiving a Low VHF signal. People have been spoiled into thinking they can watch TV with a tiny little mouse pad size antenna stuck to the wall insi...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

I am getting a good signal (Waterford) using a big amplified roof top antenna that I use for DX'n. I have a stacker that I use for VHF and a 4 bay on another pole that feeds all the tv's in the house. I can get WHNE but the signal is very low and drops out. Since I only use the vhf portion of the s...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

WHNE is going to be switching to virtual channel 3. On their Facebook, they made a post referring to their movie channel as "soon to be on channel 3.6" Seems like their viewership would increase, at least for the OTA viewers. Don't think that would help them with placement on cable though. WHNE is ...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

AFAIK, WPXD 31 (RF 24) is on its new antenna on the 11 Mile Rd. candelabra. WWJ-TV 62 (44) and WTVS 56 (20) are on from atop the 8 Mile Rd. candelabra, having moved off the "community" temp side mount. WMYD 20 (21 - 8 Mile Rd,) and WKBD 50 (34 - 11 Mile Rd.)switched at Phase 3 last June, and have n...

Miserable is an understatement. He's managed to completely fuck it up more than NBC and the private equity firms did.

Re: If you care about free Radio and Television....

News flash....current ota broadcast is already a thing of the past. Once the us govt gets the delivery network in place to offer free LTE or 5g or whatever to everyone; fm, am, vhf and uhf will shutdown. Advertisers already run the game and are just waiting to be able to geotarget everything we do....

Re: If you care about free Radio and Television....

They've already swiped half of the UHF TV band for others to make cash- they should have made T-Mobile buy all of us nice big LOW-Band VHF antennae for the displaced stations that had to move down the band. The TV stations themselves got money to relocate their signal, but the general public didn't...

New Authorization For WPON - December 26, 2019 http://licensing.fcc.gov/prod/cdbs/pubacc/Auth_Files/1811284.pdf I don't know what this license is for exactly, but did anyone notice this on it: "This license expires 3:00 a.m. local time, March 08, 2020." That's just over 2 months from now!

I double checked and you guys are correct, the tower is on the Oak Park side of the street. I was going by the address on record in Washington for the tower site.

Re: 102.7 K-Love is now broadcasting from Oak Park

Actually the tower is in Southfield, not Oak Park.

Structure Address:
24600 Greenfield Rd
Southfield, MI

You are correct that it's the same tower with WDRQ and WDMK.

This is the old school tower site that Bob Liggett bought and built back in the 80's when he owned WABX/WCLS.
