On my drive home today, I could not help but notice that WPON is suddenly much weaker than it had been in the past several weeks.
This was today's commute from Schaefer/I-96 (Jeffries) freeway Westbound, thence I-275 Southbound to its disappearance near DTW.
Acceptable registrations in the queue through April 26 at 9:00p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

I gave it a try on Wednesday. Only "10%" on our 1998 Panasonic with the CM3020 on the chimney.
It takes 50% to decode

Re: What Does the Fox Say? Goodbye...
The problem? The power consumption is unsustainable and many new features that you expect from FM can't be implemented. The transmitter would need to be replaced. The power consumption from a one-watt translator? Even if electricity were $0.50/kWh (a high figure) and used 20w of AC from the socket ...

Ringtail, I think Windsor is the only city that doesn't have a signal of a Global channel. Am I right in saying that??? It has CIII-TV-22 near Stephenson, though it has the awkward disadvantage that the antenna has to be turned around, since most non-cable Windsorites usually have their antennas ai...

It wouldn't surprise me if this e-skip everyone worries about isn't a problem either. We'll see in the summer. But I think it's a dramatization. We're not yet into sporadic-e and tropo season, which can run into early summer. Whether it's a problem will depend on how many other Channel 3 signals th...

Re: WCCW AM tower site for sale
WCCW 1310 had a CP for 50000 watts Daytime a few years ago. They also had applied for a CP for 15000 watts Daytime with a low PSSA power from the WTCM 580 site. That may have been modified for the new site. Under newer rules, they may be able to consolidate and diplex at the WTCM 580 site. They als...

It’s not multi path, but actually the top of the tower swaying in the wind. It’s the same as if you were moving you receiving antenna around by several feet. When WKBD was on 14 they were on the lowest UHF channel (longest wavelength) so the effect would be noticed the least. I also always assumed ...

WInds are picking up and I am starting to get Multi-Channel interference Heavy on CW50 (RF34), WABL 28 (RF27) Pretty much unwatchable A little on WYXZ 7 (RF 25) WDIV 4 (RF32) Watchable with a few skips No issues with Fox 2 (RF7), WWJ 62 (RF21), PBS 56 (RF20), My20 (RF31) Back when CW50 was on RF14 ...

Re: WLEC 1450 Sandusky signal weak?
WLEC now has a translator on 93.5.
It's of no use to me, as co-channel WRQN obliterates it.
They've been promoting the translator frequently, no only the fact it's FM stereo, but that its night coverage is better than the AM.

WHNE is going to be switching to virtual channel 3. On their Facebook, they made a post referring to their movie channel as "soon to be on channel 3.6" Seems like their viewership would increase, at least for the OTA viewers. Don't think that would help them with placement on cable though. WHNE-LD ...

I put a set of 'rabbit ears' up in my attic with RG6 to the 2nd floor TV set and pulled the VHF leads 3/4 of the way out and I still had to spend 45 minutes to get both VHF 11 and VHF13 to come-in at 75% regularly in T-town. Or, is part of the problem the Best Buy and Sony TV's have sh*t for tuners...

This brings me to the question of providing coverage to all Hispanic listeners in the second market. Can an smaller FM station cover the whole Spanish-Speaking community of L.A. with a Class A east of Downtown, or is it spread out, making a grandfathered superpower Class B the only way to reach the ...

Re: Antenna TV gone?
WMYD-TV 20 Detroit and it's subchannels are only available on Buckeye Broadband on the Michigan side of the border, namely Bedford township. When I do a zip code search on AntennaTV's website, it says I should be able to get it on 20.2 with an antenna. Will have to try that, as I don't think it'll ...
