Re: Channel-Sharing, Canadian Style

no, we get Global programming via CIII-DT-22 (UHF 33, PSIP 22.1) from between Leamington and Wheatley. it's mostly aimed due west to Kingsville, and northeast to Chatham, but we get a usable signal too.

Channel-Sharing, Canadian Style

So, Corus Entertainment has made four applications on merging repeaters of Global stations onto the main transmitters of their sister stations, in a bid to both cut down on spectrum used for broadcasting, and for electricity from having to maintain multiple transmitters. instead of broadcasting mult...

Re: RePack Phase 9 Started

It hasn't moved yet, but once they do, I'll actually have a shot at recieving it, since they're not at a tower in Cottam, which is about half-way between Essex and Leamington. The fact that they'll be sliding down in frequency (to UHF 30) is definitely gonna help.

Re: Media doing social separation

Last week, the Inside Edition crew were reporting from their homes because the CBS Building in New York City was closed for decontamination after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus... I thought it was an interesting way of doing things for a news show. Plus, Deborah Norville has a nice k...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

I'm pretty sure WUDT and WADL are moving in the next repack phase... that should be by May 1st. I agree, though, i'd love to see WHNE apply for VHF 8 instead if WUDT wants to stay where they are (even if it ends up costing me WNWO from Toledo... a worthy sacrifice! :P)

Re: NBC IN ALPENA AREA

Sadly, Alpena and the Lake Huron shoreline of NE Michigan are so far out from the nearest NBC affiliate towers, that your best bet might just be a satellite dish if you can't get anything in from Cadillac or Sault Sainte Marie... On closer inspection of RabbitEars.info and the FCC databases.... you ...

Re: Cops get away with murder in Saginaw

i checked the story out and it said the dog's gonna be okay... Officers entered the home with 5-year-old German Shepherd canine officer Deebo, who was then stabbed in the head by the suspect. The suspect was then shot and killed by police. "Officers eventually rescued the hostage from the home," sai...

Re: Fox’s strategy (WJBK related)

Aside from failing station waivers, the limit any broadcaster can own is a total of 39% of the national viewing audience.... it could be a few large stations or a ton of smaller ones, and Low-Power/Class-A stations don't count towards that limit. I think FOX's strategy is to own stations in NFL mark...

Re: Antenna TV gone?

Are you guys able to tune in to WMYD-TV 20 from Detroit? They have AntennaTV on 20.2.... or is that station's transmitter just too far away for reliable reception?
