Re: Jason Carr

Why do people on here constantly bash male radio or TV stars in the Detroit are? Carr was let go from Fox when his contract was up, and WDIV signed him probably the next day it seemed. Women watch The Nine and Live in the D. It's facts.

Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?

NBC is thinking about cancelling 10 PM programming, so 2, 4, 20 will have 10 PM news. Lame.

Re: Is DTE's ad $$$ influencing local media coverage of power outages?

I believe we are #1 or #2 for the frequency of power outages in the US. This was from an article earlier this year. That's why people are upset. It shouldn't go out every single time there's a storm with winds over 20 MPH.

Re: Channel 7 quietly launches 24/7 streaming service

They have been advertising this for months, maybe since January. They even tell you multiple times during the news to watch the streaming service. They sometimes replay the local news, but when I watched they were playing some ABC health report for 30 minutes. This was a while ago, so maybe they sto...

Re: Drew & Mike Podcast Complaint Thread

I don't understand why people spend time listening to a show that they hate. There's literally tens of thousands of current podcasts.

Re: Drew & Mike Podcast Complaint Thread

From time to time they refer to the Buzzboard on the podcast and even read the posts, it's fun to hear! I have to say I really like when Bentley is on the show, and also look forward to Eli every week. Eli is a good talker, but he's old, cranky and bitter nowadays. We already have Drew sometimes fo...

Does anyone remember when WDIV sports played the same music for 15 years? They used the instrumental from Frank Stallone's Far from Over. :rollin

Re: Friggin' WWJ 950

HD radio technology is dying or dead. You can't even buy AM HD radios for the home anymore, they only come with vehicles now. With unlimited mobile data, the younger generation just streams from their phone in the car. WWJ on the Audacy app sounds great!!

Re: Roberta Jasina Loses her job

Wasn't she over 65? Let some younger person get that money. She probably made 5 times what her replacement will make. She should have a lot of money saved up. She was on the old school media pay scale.

They don't even sell AM HD radios anymore. Maybe some vehicles come with it, but no more portables.

Several restaurants that I have visited would keep Channel 2 on all day on their TV sets. Often the sound was down, but the smug self-righteousness of their facial expressions always came through.
Yes. They were always on in restaurants.

Re: The Real cancelled!!

It was good until the pandemic. Watching all of them talking to the screen was off-putting and they really didn't react off of each other.

Re: WLLZ

Let's stop sending 50,000 watt signals into the air that no one listens to. Cell phone signals might improve. Not everyone spends their lives on their phone endlessly. There is life outside your cellphone. Secondly, we don't need any more robotic CHR stations that sound the same or Hip Hop and R&B....
