Analog Microwave. A pair of Marti STL8's.
My friend at work (our webmaster) used to do point to point on the Mexican border. The equipment is getting so cheap, we're joking about our own network.

My brain is starting to spasm over the idea of a "man-in-the-middle" attack on this type of link.

Re: Need headphone advicex

Ever seen the frequency response on those V6's? Painfully bright. There's nothing flat about them. Seems like every weighted and averaged freq. chart I've seen puts them within 3 db-ish flat across the spectrum. If you listen to Beats I'm sure the Sony's sound bright, but there's a reason folks tha...

Yah, they're made for old people...and the Japanese are world famous for that. Show of hands, who can even hear past 10kHz.?

ImageThis, exactly... Only left channel was wired up.
I installed that unit for WQON to protect STL's when it was next to bakery. It doesn't have a clipper either.
Please elaborate: was the signal digitized and sent out on microwave?

Re: SiriusXM and Cancellations

With satellite radios in most cars now I never understood why they didn't just have 6-10 channels going free all the time with advertising of course and pushing their service. Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk Nobody is listening, there is no point. Talk to people outside of this forum who're n...

Re: SiriusXM and Cancellations

The compression on Sirius was much worse in the early days of Sirius (pre-Stern). I've been a Sirius subscriber since 2004. That being said, the audio quality has not improved at all in about a decade's time. I may hold an unpopular view, but I wish the number of channels would be reduced in order ...

Cable News is all brain rot, I avoid it.

Re: Tucker Carlson Admits Fox News Ain’t News!

Bernstein is an example of a real journalist unearthing real news. He chronicles CIA/news media cozy relationships starting around 1953 - and beginning to diminish - at media behest - decades ago. What we now have is the Trump administration’s cozy relationship with Putin - and the puppet president...

Re: Knife rampage ends with 2 dead

Because the NRA - a lobby for gun makers/sellers insuring money piles up - blackmails Congress with some of it - to support or defeat lawmaker reelections. We don’t need guns. The gun lobby needs us - to buy them. Who buys guns? http://www.jemome.com/cdn/2010/12/ar-15-lower-receiver-blueprint_17876...

Re: Tucker Carlson Admits Fox News Ain’t News!

Real news? Truth in journalism? No lies by omission? Both sides of a story? More than one source? Corroborating information? Op/Ed columns labeled as such? Radio/TV Op/Eds headlined as such? Quick corrections when mistakes are made? And panel discussions featuring experts who come across equally we...

Re: Tucker Carlson Admits Fox News Ain’t News!

But what is "real" news? CNN is more biased to the left than Fox is to the right (Fox has softened up its bias since the new owneship came into effect) and MSNBC makes CNN look like straight news (Rachel Maddow? Really? Shes a trustworthy news source?) What new ownership at Fox News? There is no ne...

Weak troll... You should read more or something.

Tucker said FOX isn't news? Golly, did he hear that from Limbaugh or was it perhaps 45 himself?

Where have you been?

Re: SiriusXM and Cancellations

How do ya'll stand they audio quality? - It's that sounds like listening to something through blades of a slow turning fan. Plus the high frequencies are not only synthetic - but they are bursts of noise. Sort of like short bursts of air from a air gun in a tire shop. :rolleyes Yep...Stern got all ...
