Re: August Radio Ratings
WFUR-FM at 102.9 was usually between a 0.5 and 1.0 share in its final years on the air and had very low cume. The new programming (BBN) is probably of much narrower appeal than the old programming. Who the heck wants to listen to church sermons on the radio 24/7? There aren't many folks in West Mich...

Re: Detroit Lions 2022
Campbell says he sorely regrets his decision, he would've rather had turned it over to them on downs. While I can appreciate Mr. Cambell's forthrightness in acknowledging his error, he gets paid a LOT of money not to make such errors. Where they really messed up though was after the automatic first...

Re: Detroit Lions 2022
I didn't like that decision either, BMW. FG kickers were having trouble all day from long range due to the friggin' windows / bright reflections. I also figured going for a conversion on 4th down would've eaten more time off the game clock (Vikings had no timeouts left). Lions probably still would'v...

Re: Detroit Lions 2022
Same old Lions!!! Did anyone actually think the Lions would win after going ahead 24 to 14? I sure didn't. Yet again, the defense let us down on the opposing team's last possession in a close game. Shocker. Let's see if Campbell cries again in the post game presser after losing to the Vikings in Min...

Re: 2022 Midterm Polling Thread
The Republicans have definitely gained ground compared to August polling in several battleground states, but Michigan is not one such place.
Their improvement in Nevada in particular is quite remarkable, if memory serves.

Right now, Minnesota definitely is playing the best ball of any team in the West division.

The WDVD brand is outdated; I think it should be ditched.

The speaking style of their new weekend meteorologist is more annoying than Andrew's rhetorical "crutches." He sounds like a robot when he speaks.
I liked Brett Collar's presentation of the weather. Is he only doing behind the scenes stuff now?

Re: WGER flips to 106.3 The Core
Lakini's Juice, Pain Lies on the Riverside, and Freaks are all solid songs by Live in addition to the four you mentioned. Four songs in rotation from Live certainly isn't bad, though. Some rock and alternative stations don't play any of their material or will only play "Lightning Crashes." Live stop...

Re: Big Ten talk
Spartans finally score with :17 to play in the game. I was thinking the Gophers would likely win today, but I was expecting a much closer final score. I was also surprised by how well Mayland played on both sides of the ball. Was thinking Michigan would win by about 20 before kickoff. Maryland's def...

Re: Big Ten talk
Polls this early are largely meaningless, but if close wins against unranked teams are viewed as a derogatory, then Alabama should've been punished harder for barely defeating Texas a couple weeks back. Texas was in the lead until about the final :25 of the game. P.J. Fleck has proven himself to be ...

Greta resides in the station's listening area and is damn talented (IMO). They deserve an exception.
How You Remind Me by Nickelback plus one other song (Rockstar, maybe?) are the ones I've heard or spotted on the log. I hate 'em both.
Leader of Men is a song I can tolerate certainly.

Fed policy - I largely agree with Wharton's Jeremy Siegel
I began saying at least four years ago that the Fed allowed interest rates to remain too low for too long and should've began raising rates gradually on an earlier and more consistent basis. I also was very critical of Trump's suggestion that the Fed should follow in the E.U.'s footsteps and allow t...
