Re: Great addition to NBC25/FOX66

I’m sure Kristen’s a great person, but she’s coming from the last place station in the TC/Cadillac market. I’m not holding my breath that she’s going to make much of an impact at NBC 25 and Fox 66 until there’s a change at the top.

Re: Now THIS is journalism

You mean 6 month long prelims? OJ was prosecuted faster... and was better organized. The judge threatened to throw out the cases numerous times due to Flood’s disorganization. I was in the courtroom when Flood was late for the umpteenth time and the judge read him the riot act. That being said, Ness...

Re: Now THIS is journalism

Flood was lining his pockets with nothing to show for those efforts. I agree Nessel’s dismissal of the cases without a backup plan was a boneheaded idea...

Re: Battle of the Christmas concerts

Bill is just riding out his contract not trying to make waves. Watch for him to leave at the end of the year. He sees the writing on the wall with the recent staff departures in news. The only thing keeping him there is his son Chris who is the Assistant Chief Engineer (but really runs the place fro...

Re: Mid-Michigan Now

People internally have been complaining about the horrible wages for some time now. Morale is bad at 25-66. That’s why Jennifer Profit, Drew Moore, Veronica Meadows, Joel Feick, Jamie Kagol, Femi Redwood and others either left or were released to cut salaries even further. Ratings are flat. So for t...

Re: Battle of the Christmas concerts

I thought it was a good show, but I have a problem with the station making money by charging residents to attend the concert. The Capitol Theater had to pay 25-66 to broadcast the concert, for the air tine, for the commercials they ran, for Harris and company’s time... then 25-66 goes out and sells ...

Re: Now THIS is journalism

Not sure what the Guardian added that Fonger couldn’t have reported himself. Ron’s done a great job of reporting this story from the beginning.

Re: Mid-Michigan Now

The GM and Sinclair corporate only cares about reducing expenses and maximizing profits. They won’t pay employees more than a 1.5% performance increase. Instead, the GM will spend money on his pet projects and lame “employee morale” activities (derided internally as f-off Friday’s) like grilled chee...

Re: Great addition to NBC25/FOX66

Kristen took the job at 25-66 to be closer to her fiancé. She could and should have done much better... but I hope she’s happy and can help elevate the quality of what they are calling journalism on Pierson Road these days.

Re: By the numbers

25-66 has double the ad time, the least staff and the lowest wages. Air Boris and the other must runs and keep profits high for the GM.

Re: Mid-Michigan Now

Other than a lame name and logo change —and some staff departures — it’s the same crappy product Sinclair has always produced. That’s why these stations will remain in last place until Sinclair replaces the joke of its Flint GM and his lackey department heads... including the do-nothing News Directo...
