Re: U Of M Fresh Air Camp (1978)
My stepfather used to talk about being a counselor at Fresh Air Camp during the 1940's. I'm not sure if it was the same camp? I have a couple of music memories of camp: In 1982 I discovered Rush, (like a lot of people.) That summer I found a new way to annoy people. (Years later I've learned to cont...

The Network Axe Falls / 2021
It's about that time of year when Networks cancel or renew their shows. So Far these have been cancelled: Mom / (End of eight year run) Prodigal Son Bless The Hearts (was starting to get funny) Macgyver Most CW shows are being renewed. Supergirl and Black Lightning are ending their runs. The Simpson...

Re: Sensual songs
I clicked on your Fancy link thinking I was going to see a clip from Fanny, (Charity Ball.) One letter off I guess. My first thought was this must be a later lineup, (kind of Beavis And Butthead don't you think.)

Re: WDET / New Transmitter/ Jesus Christ Superstar
According to a WDET announcement the fundraiser was successful. I'm not sure when the new transmitter will be online ? (I'm also not sure if "online" is the right word.)

Do they sell it on GOOP?
I just looked at GOOP. Her Vagina Candle goes for 75$, (and is currently sold out.) I just bought a Vanilla Scented Candle at Wal Mart for 3.49$. It lasted three days.

S A T U R D A Y Night!!! (The old 70's footage of them is really funny.)
I remember a girl talking about Rollermania in funny but sweet way, ("Their fans were all these young girls wearing plaid.")

Jim Steinman
Jim Steinman, who wrote Meatloaf's Bat Out Of Hell, has died at the age of 73. He also worked with Bonnie Tyler, The Sister Of Mercy, Celine Dion, and Air Supply. He collaborated with Def Leppard on the early sessions of Hysteria, but it didn't work out and the results weren't released, (to my knowl...

The Smiths (Panic On The Streets Of Springfield)
I guess this thread could also be posted on Network TV since it also has to do with last night's Simpsons. In it Lisa deals in her head with Qillaby, whose is basically Morrisey from The Smiths. If you grew up in the 80's you'll recognize his snide and world weary attitude, (if your under 35 maybe n...

Re: WBRB and Rosie OGrady?
I looked up "Rosie O Grady" and my hits were either A movie from 1950, (Sweet Rosie O Grady) or a few Irish Pubs. I looked up WBRB and found out it was a Country station in West Virginia. I don't know how long that station has had that call sign. Maybe West Virginia could help ? (maybe not)

Is anybody out there a fan of 70's country rock bands that that never broke through like the Eagles did? (Poco, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Firefall, Pure Prairie League.)
