Re: RIP 1470
Last week, when I checked the frequency, it sounded like some kind of urban format fading in and out. Sounded secular but I could be wrong. Was that within an hour or two before sunset? You may have been hearing WVOL Berry Hill, TN (Nashville) before they switched to night pattern. Hey, Ben Zonia, ...

Re: Weather reporting
Funny, how only the metro Detroit counties are omitted from the Winter Storm Watch. AccuWeather says 4 to 8 inches, NWS says less than an inch. It'll be interesting to see who's right.

Re: Weather reporting
Any thoughts on the Friday-Saturday system? Forecast discussion says winds could gust to 45mph. That could spell trouble for DTE.

Re: Audacy officially files for Chapter 11 reorganization
Yeah, no kidding. My gut feeling is the warrants being issued to the second lien lenders will never be worth anything. They will expire four years from BK emergence. I hope Joel Hollander doesn't replace David Field. That would be a terrible error. My top choice would be Dan Mason. Agreed. As someo...

Where's Lloyd Austin? Who's running this clown show?
So, the middle east is on fire, we have a Defense Secretary, hospitalized in the ICU, while his female subordinate, unaware, is on vacation in Puerto Rico. What happened to the 7:00AM morning briefings? Too early for Diaper Joe? Nobody noticed the Defense Secretary wasn't there during roll call? Wha...

Re: CD92.9 set to go online only at the end of the month.
I wonder what these guys did with the money they received from selling 101.1 to Ohio State years ago? I believe they sold that Class A stick for $4.8 million back in 2010. I listened to this station a few times during its 102.5 incarnation and was always unimpressed by what I heard. It sounded like...

Re: WJR, boring programming
Truthfully, a lot of the "right wing" programming on WJR is gone. It's all on after 8PM. Guy Gordon has no opinion on anything, unless approved by management. Kevin and Tom are centrists, who constantly talk over each other. Paul W is too busy broadcasting from restaurants most people can't afford, ...

Re: WJR, boring programming
J.P., Jimmy L., Hal, Mike and Oscar you are sorely missed. I'd add to those greats those who brought fine, tasteful, and interesting music to WJR: Jay Roberts, Karl Haas, Gene Elzy. Hear hear. Remembering Marc Avery for his time on WJR as well. Marc Avery was the ideal personality for PM drive. He ...

Re: RIP 1470
Wow, I'll be damned. It's just as well, I don't think I'd be able to get the signal after dark in Brighton but there is a lot dancing on the frequency at the moment. I'll check it again tomorrow. I wonder what brought that on. The DA points north/northwest, definitely away from Brighton. I haven't ...

Re: RIP 1470
Clown square has been turning off a lot of AM's recently, but this one is a surprise. With WFNT gone, they've basically handed over any Flint radio news coverage to WWJ. The audio on WFNT has been low for years. Low enough that it requires adjusting the volume on your radio. I wouldn't want to work ...
